Why is my phone having a May security patch?
Updated my Mi A1 and it works perfectly well so far. Battery life is improved.
Is it available in Philippines?

The writer of the should take note on the error in the article.

Nadalion, 16 Jul 2018It's cool alright, but it's over delayed, More than 10months behind considering it's an Androi... moreGet your fact first.. google released android Oreo 8.1 in december
Nadalion, 16 Jul 2018Come_on Xiaomi, realising 8.1 when the MI A2 is already available isn't cool.you meant releasing? looooool
Nadalion, 16 Jul 2018Come_on Xiaomi, realising 8.1 when the MI A2 is already available isn't cool.Took them a while, but at least it's up to date now.
Unlikely to support Project Treble if it didn't come like this at first. It implies modifying the current partition scheme, which is a risk Xiaomi is unlikely to take on an already released device, especially regarding potential data loss or bricking a device.
This update is not available on phones already updated to 8.1 before the bugs were announced. How does one update with the 8.1 July 2018 version which fixes the bugs with the update?
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018Would it support Project Treble?Nope, doubt this is going to implemented on Mi A1.
But if one has already updated to the buggy Oreo 8.1 before all the hooha about the bugs, it seems the update (at least on my phone) is not available and does not appear. C'mon Xiaomi, how is this so.
Soon people will start complaining about new bugs with a new update.... It's the endless cycle.
BTW, I read that at last we will be able to see the Bluetooth power indicator for connected BT devices?
