Take a look at Mi8 SE, Mi Note 3 and consider the RN5. Eventually the reviews of the Mi Max 3 will come out and the Mi Max 2 will get cheaper. Then you would have more choices.

Please tell me the launch date of Mi Max 3 in india?
I'm so beeping tired of all these MI phones looking the same! How tf do you even differenciate all these damn models looking just the same ffs!
" so no notch "

Do you guys know if this will have B20 (800Mhz)?
Ladies and gentlemen, President Trump and the NY mayor just confirmed that the Max 3 will replace the displays at Times Square.

Now with Amazon.in offering discounts on Mi Max2 till tonight, I was just wondering if it made more sense to grab that Mi Max2 deal tonight itself, or wait for the Mi Max3 to be made available (which could take weeks) in the market at a higher price with no discount.
Anonymous, 17 Jul 2018It's not a hyperbole. It's actually sarcasm in the guise of a hyperbole. Exactly, my sarcastic comment was aimed at those who cannot digest the sheer size of Mi Max3.
This is clearly one of the largest phones (well, apart from those tabs which also have phone facilities) to be available and it is aimed at those who relish the huge screen and battery size.
Those who find the Mi Max3 too big should not be reading the article in the first place, let alone wasting their time (and ours too) in this "comments" section.

I've sold my favorite flagship phone for this because for the price of one flagship phone, I can get four (4) of these. What's with an expensive flagship phone anyway when I'm a Facebook and multimedia person. Small flagship phone screens no matter how high resolution will never be as enjoyable for photo, video and Facebook feeds viewing as this huge 6.9" screen phone. What's more, I really don't need those super powerful processors that are coupled with stupidly small screens, and stupidly small batteries that will put an abrupt end to my enjoyment everyday due to poor battery life.

Over here in India, Mi Max2 is available at discounted price. Would it be worth investing in the Mi Max3 at a higher price or purchasing Mi Max2 at a discounted price?
Thanks
If there's no S710 version i might as well hold on to my max 2 a little longer and wait for the beastly MI MAX 4.

With the huge battery on the Mi Max3, you could even use it to power your Ferrari. Besides, the LED light could also replace the illumination in your mansion. Moreover, the music from the Mi Max3 should also be loud enough for your next party in the mansion. Have we missed anything else?

It has no notch, ~80% body to screen ratio (same as OnePlus 5T) and it's going to be great for reading and writing. It's just not for you. Would welcome SD 710 sure but you can't have everything I guess.
A good camera and SD660 or SD710 would make it an extremely good phone for those who love big multimedia consumer devices
