Complete and utter bs. I am fifteen year Apple user but even I have nearly had enough of these games. Great Apple released a new world phone that is locked again to a carrier! With no possible way of truly every unlocking it. This is no world phone. Where is the option to buy an unlocked version at full price? WTF is going on here?

AnonD-4697, 05 Oct 2011One strong point about the iPhone 4S is the battery... GOSH!! 40+ hours audio 10+ hours vid... more940x640 in just 3.5" still doesn't need much light. I can't wait to see people in the streets talking and dictating text messages to their phones. I'll stick to the one where I talk when I want to talk, and type when I want to type (without people knowing what I'm typing). Plus, it can READ text messages too? Like Motorola RAZR2? Except if they are badly written, this will be fun to listen to too.

an iPhone 4 playing catch-up to Android w/ voice control, upgraded camera & faster processor. To be fair, it probably has a better optics & Siri is more robust than any Android program.
iPhone 4S is still just an app tray w/the same tiny screen. Considering iOS is simply an app launcher, it should continue to be buttery smooth.

For a dual cored the numbers are impressive indeed...and 960x640 :P very nice

this iphone is by no means ordinary techwise. Its a marvel to assemble such hardware in such a slim profile and make it all work....
but it still fails in comparision to the sgs2 is a testament of samsung's engineering strength.... just mind-blowing from wave to sgs to sgs2 they have brought phones to a whole new level and i think this will be the dawn of a new era

Another thing i have just noticed is its bluetooth V4.0 ,,cool stuff..Now all we need is pricing to seal the deal..Defo not getting 64GB version because judging Nokias N9 64GB price the I Phone 4s here in UK could be 700GBP..

Other manufacturers have been selling smartphones that has 14.4mbps and up speed. Apple is just overrated and overwhelming.pft! Even Nokia's midrange phones and Samsung/HTC high end phones has this speed.

Now you are suddenly happy with same old 3.5" screen and also bashing bigger screens. Hard time to make up your mind or does Apple decide what is good for you? You talked before about gaming, well a 3.5" screen i virtually worthless for gaming, trust me, i have tried fiddling with that nonsense excuse for a modern screensize and it totally blows. No wonder Apple lost 7 million customers to Galaxy S II in Europe.

1. is it dual core at 1GHz? if it is - it's disappointing, because other manufacturers released enhanced versions of their previous models, and upgraded from 1GHz to 1.5GHz. At this time it was expected that Apple would release a 1.5GHz@dual core device!
2. in the picture here, is the black one the old 4 model and the white is the new 4s model? I ask because the white looks different, with two slots at the top for the speaker - and the black one has only one slot there...

Its standard upgrade fare... Boring, aesthetically at least.. But that chipset is a potential monster... It can't be underestimated... For the price they're selling it at.. it might actually be a really good deal as well too..
This very clearly rivals the SGS2.
Not sure what chipset the iPhone 5 will have.. Maybe just a repackaged version of the 4S(Boring..again.. but hopefully not).

Oh well i am buying one,,ive studied the upgrade and its quite brilliant..I was peeved before because it was not the iphone 5 but after a few hours i am sold (Fanboy)..It is still very pocketable unlike its competitor the sgs2..Apple will utilise the second core unlike Android where its just for show.In fact the iphone will work out more powerfull than sgs in a smaller mobile phone size package.

Guess what staff in carrier stores are pushing Android even one staff member in a Vodafone store said to me get the Android everyone is getting Android now. Obviously it gives carriers the flexibility they want.

they have missed out on Christmas rush where people buy a new phone...
Its still a big upgrade but what can happen to ip5,,only a new design wont sell it unless they add NFC,12 MP camera and super new screen.I would like to see LED indicator like breathing light on Nokias and Blackberrys and blutooth files also.
