Anonymous, 17 Jul 2018apple refresh their design style every 3 years...It's kind of iterative change rather than a "new style", especially since the iPhone 6s. The iPhone 7 looked a bit different compared to the 6s, the 8 looked a bit different compared to 7 and the X looks like an upgraded variant of the 8.

At least, 2020 they will change design in fodable shape, for now we can only enjoy in top notch 10. :)

To read them comfortably: right horn for battery, left one for clock
You can see notifications on your iWatch.
If this keeps on, the battery will be split between left and right horns next year.

[deleted post]It makes total sense to give a notch for the camera with around 4 different sensors to make FaceID work fantastically despite controversies. The horns will be used for time and notifications while the 18:9 screen is for all the contents.

Look at the previous models 6/7/8, all have the relatively same design.. so now we're going into the 2nd year of the iPhone X design cycle, after next years models Apple should refresh the design.. But then again this is apple haha

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2018so they're not ditching the notchOf course they're not gonna ditch it. Where in the world are they gonna put that advanced camera modules? If you say do what Vivo and Oppo do, Apple won't risk losing their ingress protection.
Let others find a way to make displays that is not only transparent but emits HDR10 color too and the areas where the camera is located will stop emitting color (that's kinda my idea of an in-display camera).

I Prefer 5.8 inches Full Screen Size. Glad that Apple iPhone Team give us three different Sizes to choose from and more Glad that the 5.8 inches comes with OLED Panel.
I only hope this alleged 5.8 inches comes with new and improved features and a Thinner than my iPhone X
