Get a Gd digital cam if u wan to take Gd picture rather than using a phone , try to enlarge the pic u will see the different between digital camera n a handphone cam ..there are nothing to argue abt . Too lame to use handphone as a holiday camera , spending nearly one grand for handphone better spend it on a Gd digital camera...

Its really funny how these debate goes because its as it the camera is the number 1 reason for getting a phone... If its the same OS then perhaps worthwhile debate, if not, really? Debating between an Android 8MP against an iOS 8MP? Really? Really?

i though they would make a whole new phone not just upgrading few things in iphone 4 but that is very good but not excellent they could put other awesome upgrades like enlarging the screen a little !!! anyway, it's an awesome product!!! :D also the benefit from this that the iphone 4 price will decrease gradually!! ;)

iphone 4s camera is as close to nokia n8 ... its the FACTS.. detail on the iphone 4s camera is way better close up.. but far distance on the nokia n8 is way better.. nokia n8 have better zoom.. for far distance but for micro ... iphone 4s beats it.

I do know that Canon and Nikon make better cameras than anything Sony can muster. Even using Sony's own sensor, Nikon makes better pictures than Sony.

none of these matter... a 5 mp cam is already good enough for a phone..get a dslr or better yet hire a prof photographer if you wanted better pics :D

Guys, I own an N8 and by looking at the pics, I'm not really sure what to say.
Even if I'm completely neutral, iPhone 4S has acceptable camera. Bit noisy, and details are lesser than a 12 MP obviously but good for a 8 MP Snapper...
Color rendering is quite neutral, not saturated like in digital cameras or some Samsung phones...
Dynamic range is average, you can't really have shadows and lights in the same photo, both clearly visible.
Sharpness is not what I expected. Too low, could be due to that Aperture, but that might show better low light images... is it Apple?
N8 uses a higher aperture value probably which results in bit sharper images, and for night time, there's a strong flash. So, best of both worlds...
Maybe Apple can release an iPhone5 with a 12MP Cam that can handle matters?? Best of luck Apple...
