An sd 660 would have been awesome but 636 should do the job pretty well as its a decent upgrade from 625 which lacked performance.

Snapdragon 636 is not as power efficient as snap... moreBased on Antutu score it's about 40-50% faster and about 10% more power hungry (supposedly). For me it's a good trade off but that is up to the individual point of view I guess.
Besides they wouldn't be able to use SD 625 with this particular screen as 625 doesn't support FHD+ resolution.

They should have kept using snapdragon 625... Snapdragon 636 is not as power efficient as snapdragon 625...

Dont think googles superior software is something you should have got on a cheap phone. Theres a one click thing available for the a1, which just installs the gcam alone. Do look it up if you find some time.

Thats why its so tedious and nerve wracking. Liek i really hope the pro is true!!

Actually you can buy Mi Mix 2 for like 300 € which is pretty close to the price of Max 3 but with much better specification and only 1" less ... but no amoled again.
I am going to wait, maybe there will be a suprise with Pro version after all

The up and bottom bezels quite thin. Compared with the screen, it almost like galnote8 without curve display. I think xiaomi will using this sd636 for sd625 instead. Good decision.. Looks better that redmi note 5 pro. Love it!
