They proved they are out of ideas.

Apple reinvented the camera! ;-) Ather people use the same Sony camera module for months. And you do eighter if you use a Sony Ericsson Arc, Neo and Ray.

Well... I remember those first pictures presented when the iPhone 4 war launched. Those were also stunning(!). BUT the real photos from iPhone 4 are crap - especially compared to my Nokia N8.

It seems ok. More than ok. Waiting for a comparison in real utilization for average user, with the n8 first (but it has a big lense, so maybe it's not fair). And above that, for a comparison with the N9 (that shares probably his camera with the future Nokia Windows Phones). Like Nokia or not, you should recognize their quality in cameras for smartphones.
Here are samples from the n9. Okay, like here for the Iphone, it's probably the best you can do with the n9. But it still give an idea.

the comments here make me laugh! i don't hate iPhone. it just so happened that i'm a SGS2 user. admittedly, i'm interested in Apple news and it feels like a rip-off to some who expected an iPhone 5.

Not that impressive as it should be. OK the hardware is good, focus length is 4.28 compared to SGSII's 3.97 well, it should be better than SGSII. But we'll see in true objective comparison who is better here. But now SGSII also makes outstanding photos and smashing FullHD video.

Why not compare it with Xperia Arc 8mp & Nokia N9 8mp? hell even xperia neo & xperia ray has 8mp camera. *Htc 8mp not included coz it sucks bad.

The most important feature any iphone can have is an app that automatically issues a court order in case anyone makes a call, sends a text or takes a picture, breaths, goes to the toilet, washes, does laundry, goes to work, edits contacts, sends an email, plays a game, farts, makes love, invades a country, launches a deep space probe, finds intelligent life on another planet, grows veg, solves global warming or puts a man (or woman) on mars...after all Apple invented all those first :P
