.. And thats why people calls Nokia phones 'Chinese'

Why Nokia, why 720x1520 pixels on 5.86-inch screen?

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2018Get off your high horse: nothing proves HMD is financially in Finnish hands either.Based on the current known information written on countless websites, HMD is Finnish. Go find a single article stating HMD is china owned.

(Well you should start from somewhere...) There is a reason why they are named HMD Global OY. They can operate all around the world except Japan but even there you can find HMD/Nokia phones.
Anonymous, 19 Jul 2018Get off your high horse: nothing proves HMD is financially in Finnish hands either.Yeah but you can't be sure for any company of the world, where their money comes from.
make nokia great again!

That lines does not mean anything, why don't you try to find Nokia (HMD) with same camera quality like was in 1020, 1520, 950 XL, and that phones is 5-6 years old.. It's from finland, just it's not Nokia (only name-brend is the same). Yes, you're right those phones is not bad (for price), also there is AndroidOne program, but thats all..
pl2rts, 18 Jul 2018100 euro phones have 1080p screens, so how is that so expensive for Nokia then ?That's a different debate, Nokia under HMD has been over charging on their products, that's the fact, and I am with you on that debate.
It's just that a Xiaomi would provide a product costing 150, for say, 180. A Nokia would provide it for 220.
Their policy is to have high margin per products, their costs increase means their price increases as well, because they have to maintain the same margin
Anonymous, 18 Jul 2018Of course. HMD are Finnish. People who say they are Chinese have no clue. What's a difference is it Chinese or Finland based (startup) company? I don't understand, because 3-th OEM in the world (1-st in the bigest market in the world) is Huawei=China. On the second large market in the world, also Chinese OEM is number one, Xiaomi. Man it's 2018, take look around.. Sony, HTC, LG, even Samsung in mid-low class does not exist, anymore..
Also volvo in sweden manufacturer, but thay company is owned by some Chinese company. Does that mean, that new Volvo car is cheap now, or have bad quality.
Fact is that HMD Global Oy licencing Nokia name for phone, noting more or less. Microsoft failed with that strategy, HMD.. Who knows, we will see.. At least this 'notchy' Nokia have all apps & games this time.
