Merwyn Fernandes, 19 Jul 2018The only reason why Xiaomi sells is because they are cheap.Quality also. Currently people refrain from buying any thing with chinese tag.
But as people become more and more aware, Xiaomi Oppo Vivo sales will rise further coz they provide quality at cheaper prices.

It is from personal exp also, still having Redmi 1s as secondary device which is working fine with cracked screen, much faster than samsung on5, which was of same range & newer model compared to redmi 1s. Currently also using redmi note 5 pro (after moto, sony, samsung and nokia), and everyone can easily guess why MI is rising against Samsung)

"Lei Jun, Xiaomi's CEO, said that the company prices the phone almost at bill-of-material prices, without compromising the component quality and performance compared to other premium smartphones. It also profits by selling phone-related peripheral devices, smart home products, apps, online videos and themes"- Wiki

The reason being mi phones are cheap!!

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2018WRONG. Xiaomi sells more than Samsung because for the same price as the Samsung model, you can... moreBut, aside from India, the main reason why Samsung is still strong in the mid-range market is their cameras. I just heard some Xiaomi users here that the camera is not as good as Samsung's J series (overpriced junk).

But yeah. We'll see how Xiaomi can keep up their marketing against the big three.

Nokia 3 , 5 , 2.1 , 3.1 all have similar specs to Redmi 5A.

So Guess which is cheaper Genius, 150$ and 250$ is considered Squeezing the last bit of juice out of your money. $250 is Budget Category , $400 is Midrange , 700$ and above is flagship.

                          Similarly Nokia x6 , x5 , 5 , 7 plus , 6.1 all are priced a lot higher than the corresponding Xiaomi Model.

If Samsung can change this image they could have easily overcome xiaomi as they have much larger number of retail outlets, more service centres, more money to make people know it through celebrity acted ads

MIUI crushes Touchwiz EVERY SINGLE TIME in fluidity, speed, responsiveness and customization features. That's why Indians love and buy Xiaomi phones so much - more than Samsung. If the only thing Xiaomi could offer were cheap prices without good quality, it would have been a dead brand by now with zero fans.
