Congratulations Samsung, well deserved.
BTW all those OnePlus votes could've been eliminated as well if Samsung releases their Galaxy series in $600-$700 range.

Samsung really didn't deserve to win rather it was the others who deserved to lose.

Kudos to Samsung S9+ to win it but Nokia 7 Plus which is from a brand which is making comeback had reached quarterfinals and lost against S9+. Proud of owning a Nokia 7 Plus

Trust me... This was not love for S9+ but people voted just by comparing it with OnePlus 6... And S9+ is always better than OnePlus 6...

S9+ indeed a good Phone but it didn't changed much from its predecessor...

Isn't it funny how almost all comments are that it sucks? Well... It won, by votes from people. And people saying it's a bad phone? . Qhd OLED(probably the best one out there) , decent speakers, okey-ish battery, one of the best cameras, great specs, ALOT of customization, little bezels and no notch.... And still its a bad phone?

So who got third?
Even in FIFA they did a match, and it was Belgium for the third-spot.

PricelessPaladin, 22 Jul 2018A deserved victory for sureI agree.
They were the first to come out with their flagship, not HALF-a-YEAR later like the OnePlus 6 & co. It has full IP68 waterproofing unlike the many competitors/copy-cats. Lets not forget about the wireless charging, headphone jack, fast-charging, and USB 3.1 on the TypeC connector. The screen is arguably the best. And there's NO NOTCH. Then there's Samsung Pay, which is objectively better than Google Pay and Apple Pay. There are lots and lots of accessories for it. And the battery life and speakers are decent. The camera is among the best, and I actually prefer it to the overhyped and overrated P20 Pro.

Where are the weaknesses?
- Its expensive (though still cheaper than iPhone 8 Plus)
- Weird aspect ratio makes the screen smaller and the device larger
- Glass back makes it very fragile
- TouchWizz
- Room for improvement in the areas of speakers, front cameras, and battery life

Congratulations!
Looks like this year people here are generally hates phones with notch, no 3.5mm jack.
Oneplus 6 have one of it so S9+ is a winner.

S9+ wins because Samsung is the only 'survivor' right now (if you know what I mean....).

While I don't particularly like Samsung's software UI and the S9's size, I can't stand the notch being a thing on the Oneplus 6. I don't really mind the results either way, but I knew Samsung would end up winning the popularity race.

Denis Thomas, 22 Jul 2018Allow me to disagree. It doesn't have bezels, it doesn't have front facing speakers, it's soft... morePeople usually complain when there's too much bezels. Not liking the design is your choice and I respect that. However another "lag" complaint that has no place to be.
