even if the supplier will provide OLED to apple for free, final product will still be expensive af.

I still don't understand why Google used LG for the Pixel 2 XL OLED, when there seems to be superior OLED screens on Chinese phones. Which is probably exactly what Apple asked in their internal meetings... leading to this news.
BOE must be better than LG, but not as good as Samsung for OLEDs. Without even looking, I'd pick BOE over the LG blue shift and black crush.

It would be cool to have a little information leaflet or so tag along with your phone so you could read exactly where a component was sourced from and where was it manufactured and what materials were used inside.
