Anonymous, 24 Jul 2018is that beat snapdragon 710Its doubtful since SDM 710 is in different league. Its use custom Cortex A75 & A55 and possibly have better GPU performnace. also worth to mention that SDM 710 is a 10nm chipset, so its more efficient than kirin 710 12nm manufacturing process. Benchmark score above tells the story :)

Jord.jr, 23 Jul 2018Kirin 710 is comparable to SDM 660, not SDM 710. Correct, the single core even matches my Mi Note 3 perfectly, but in the multi core SD660 has a slight edge that my score is merely 50 point behind Mi Note 8 SE.

I saw some antutu score breakdowns the gpu still weaker I think around sd636 level. Helio p60 is a better mid-range chip. It should be a fine chip though 12nm good power efficiency, good cpu, sd636 level gpu was OK for gaming from my experience.

Seriously, EMUI'S performance and reliability is too good. Even if I'm owning a low end device, it performs like a proper flagship!

YalokIy, 23 Jul 2018I bet the GPU difference is much bigger and in Snapdragon's favor. Yeah, the Kirin 710 supposedly uses Mali G51 GPU which was launched in 2016. The GPU performance is not likely to be great.

Jord.jr, 23 Jul 2018Kirin 710 is comparable to SDM 660, not SDM 710. They have same CPU. The only side here to compare is RAM and GPU. But Geekbench does not bench them.

And seems that Kirin is hiding or have space for 2 more GPU cores and Mediatek one since those combinations seems weird for them.
