It was quite expected anyway, same as with processor, screen, memory,... to win over competition, its better not just stick some parts together and give it lowest price, but build their own.
Most gaming is mobile now, so are earnings, Samsung know why invest in this, it May give samsung big sales, but what's more important, know-how they can use for their flagships and new kind of devices(vr gear, ar gear, possibly small "x box").

From what i know, Samsung has profit margin of 25-30% on a smartphone and Apple has 50-60%. So yeah there phones are not that overpriced. If you think from business perspective it all makes sense.
P.S. - We should be greedy anyway and force them to sell cheaper :)

Now if sony won't make one, it will feel weird. Well they got also no VR headset, cannot expect much, still their phones are supposed to be entertainment-centric, think gaming should be included...

Educated Idiots, dismantling Samsung.With this policy, in the smartphones arena Samsung will be doomed, in the next 3 years. So samsung must hire me as advisor to see her profits reaching new levels ( Sky high).

There are too many things that a big brand has to manage, don't compare them to Xiaomi or any other enthusiast brands. Xiaomi doesn't earn money from their mobile divison, their approach to market wouldn't work for Samsung. Samsung has wide customer service and supply chain, of course they will charge you for it. Believe me, Samsung phones aren't that much overpriced when you compare their products with big names. Though i wish they could cut some price and be aggressive.

Samsung must hire me, so I can help them to fix a good budget phone, and not this crap phones that making the last 3 years. And use the Nvidia Veteran to build a game console, or to wipe the floors.

The Big Mistakes From Samsung in her Phones are : 1) Disappointing batteries ( they last not even one day when the competitive models from other companies last at least 3 days). 2) Bloatware and Unwanted Apps. 3) Not good Camera in Her Budget phones and not good Display related with flagships. 4) overpriced phones ( we don;t want to pay for samsung Brand anymore, consumers are willing to pay for what they get, and not the compani's name) I hope Samsung will realised that and will correct it this year or else will continue to have low sales, As I had predicted will happend,for S9 Line Before this model was in the stores for sales. The same thing will happen again with samsung Galaxy S10 and the budget phones for the next year if samsung do not fix this stupit marketing model.
