So no. It's not amazing pixel size for the space.
Just for 7 more pixels you loose 0.6micron size of each pixel.
And pixel binning is great but not the same as if those pixels where actually that size

Not to mention that Sony has been lacking in dynamic range, stabilization, and focusing compared to others

Dual: 48MP RGB f/1.8 + 12MP Monochrome f/1.6 sensors
Both sensors with 1/2" size and use the same AUBE Fusion ISP with addition to pixel binning of the 48MP sensor

Others would be way smaller than that. Besides, if the sensor's resolution is decreased to something like 2MP and use the pixel binning technique, it could result to 24 million pixels combining together as one superpixel, which would highly increase the pixel size to maybe 2um pixels.
