You can't do what you want on iOS, except if Apple allowed it on the App Store. On Android you have the freedom to do what you want, and root your phone to get to the next level. And at least if you think your OEM is crap for updates you can get them yourself! You can go stock whenever you want.

People who are tech savy and are concerned about their data and security won’t go for android. You are justifying things on the basis of youtube channels. Let me tell you, most of the tech youtubers wear Apple Watch and you must be aware that it only works with iPhones.
Also what they say things doesn’t mean they follow that in their own personal life. In androids, if you are using either of Pixel series or Nokia phones then you are having best android experience but all others including Samsung are crap in terms of software.

Apple iPhone X was great phone, and I wish it was bigger, now we know that's coming there is 2 little to complaint about Apple.

So your facts is a BS its all about preference. I dont need 2k disp if the phone itself cant deliver smooth experience!

In the whole world ... moreI totally agree, I mean I am quite sure (ie, I am assuming, and not pointing any fact) not more than 10-15% of smartphone buyers know a bit about tech. Now, even I am not a tech expert, but I still know what's new in the market and how's it performing, and otger stuff.
So I see it this way: Out of 100, if 10 people are those "tech-savvy", 9 would buy Android. Out of rest of the 90, maybe 30 will buy Apple. Point is, people who actually know about tech, would mostly buy Android.
iPhone IS a status symbol for the rich, and that I am saying as a fact.

Ultra fast internet speed is of minor importance with current performance. Better reception, lower power consumption and lower price take priority imo

And These unexpected shutdowns with a bad battery are normal with every phone, I had an Xperia Z1 Compact that faced this issue, so I swapped the battery and now it‘s fine. Apple thought it would be reasonable for your phone to slow down instead of not being usable at all
