In the other hand Android has their jitters and bumpers. But the lag is very minimalistic. (And I had note 8. Even there) because people need to remember NOTHING takes 0seconds to happen. There's aways an execution period to do an action.

Fact is note 8 lags terribly - getting notification, searching in setting. Also their app quality is utterly worse. duplicate apps. lag in camera.
Are you sure you have seen note 8 in real ?
on the other hand ios is smooth, great app exp, better camera anytime.

Geric.770, 27 Jul 2018Maybe because they love the "Supercharge" chargers, AI buzzwords, and EMUI'S slick performance?Super charge yes. It blitz fast to some % if you are heavy user.
AI then no.
Opinion from Mate 9 user.
Samsung is so desperate trying to trick people into paying for their overpriced handsets. Meanwhile their market share is being eaten by the likes of Xiaomi and Oppo.
Prometheous, 27 Jul 2018Its not even released yet. What is with these huawei fanboys? Too much AI?Maybe because they love the "Supercharge" chargers, AI buzzwords, and EMUI'S slick performance?

I have a feeling Samsung is gonna fail big on this too!
So buy iPhone and all those problems solved already!!!

Nowday phone more focus on post-processing, so i call it phone with camera.
The last time I using a phone to capture a real color reproduction photo was Nokia N8 and after that i change to 808. Theirs color reproduction was best(expect red oversaturated in 808). So I call camera-phone, a camera with function of phone.
After that was Huawei P7,Sony Z5 Premium and now Huawei Mate 9 only capture photo because need of my job.
And I agree what have improved in the years, image stabilizer, sensor miniature etc ,you name it, but photo with natual or real color just gone. Also i miss xenon flash on phone....
It's a BIG, HUGE, RELIEF that the BIGGEST Android phone manufacturer is finally adopting bigger, 4000mAh batteries in its flagship phones. This only means one thing: ALL OTHER MANUFACTURERS who don't already have 4000mAh batteries as 'standard' issue in their flagship phones will necessarily FOLLOW. - or they lose out to Samsung. Apple's iphones just might even follow the big 4000mAh battery trend. I guess this is the official start of the battery race in Flagship-grade smartphones - which is very good development compared to the insane 40+ megapixel race Sony and Huawei are promoting.

Comparing S9 with Note9 will not do any good. Compare Note9 with Note8 instead and you will see a lot of improvement. Despite nothing fancy it is definitely an improvement and more refine experience. Bigger battery, faster performance and bigger storage define a true Note phone; bigger everything. Hey, I can bet you this Note9 will come with headphone jack too.
Fake!~ Just ads for mind conditioning....
H-1, 27 Jul 2018P20 pro promises amateurs that they will capture more appealing photos, and based on instagram... moreSadly, the Note os likely to be stuck with S9 camera tech. I wish they would up it a bit, but I get why they don't.
Battery life? You are late Samsung, Xiaomi has done that for many years.
Really man please leave the crap exynos, i had so many problem such, compability and speed !!

However, Samsung also promises things that are already available in their previous iterations. How's the note 9 any better than the note 8 or S9? No matter what the improvement would be it surely wouldn't be worth the price. And believe me, I want to be wrong. If Samsung actually delivers an awesome device, every other company will try to follow suit.
I'm probably going for a zenfone 5/q/z (depending on the availability in my country) this year, you know why? Because it promises good things and delivers in a wallet-friendly package. And that's how it should be, not over-inflated ads and over-inflated prices.

The bike turned the skin to clay, looked so bad. And AI, please! Why is this world so fixated on fakeness, just give us the MOST accurate reproduction, not some cartoon version. This world is in a mess, we have "reality" TV, fake news, social media which is basically a highlight reel, or an example of car crash lives, and cameras that promise to make our photos look "better". More accurate is better.
