It seems there's no explanation yet here what's the research do. Huawei is vendor for mobile, and network (router, 2g,3g,4g,5g, antenna, core network, microwave hardware, etc). Network division is facing the new era 5g that will be standarized by 3gpp soon 2020 and they need to make hardware and software that comply the standarization. 5g technology comprise of complex new cloud, new radio technology, new software with support AI, and many. It's pushing technology to the edge from hardware and software. That's why they spend so much to be the leader (Nokia, Ericsson, ZTE (small), Samsung (Small) are the competitors)

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2018It's incredible to see how they came from nothing on the bottom to tackling the top. And they... moreYeah... their global growth and success was indeed steady and fast... very; it amazes me

Main camera become more and more, from single camera later dual cameras and now three cameras, more R&D means more cameras we can imagine the next would be four cameras and so on. because the R&D is not include chipset work with other specialty sensors.

And they are not done yet. I just hope it doesn't get too them too much. It always will but hopefully not completely. Enough to keep some integrity.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2018Mm they need more R&D to hide their spyware. HahaWhich the US never disclosed so does it actually exist or maybe similar stuff exists in qualcomm devices so they don't want to draw too much attention to it?

Oh wait, everything about the NSA and US companies spying had already been revealed since like 2013 while everything about Huawei are just pure accusations from the biggest spy country in the world: USA.
