nice i like it :-) . not all people can buy high end device >> a lot of people love to buy low end :-) not all people is rich :( . well done nokia keep it up . nokia you should focus more on space :-) if the device is high end mid range low end >> focus more on space

I think nokia did a good job they make phones for all type of people, expensive once for the rich and affordable once for the less riches, unlike apple!!!!but then again people in south africa nowadays only use blackberry curve 8520 R1700.

5233 replacement indeed. A 600mhz processor is a huge jump at that price point, this phone will be much faster than the one its replacing. For many this will be their first brush with Kinetic scrolling as 5233 didn't have that in the original firmware.

[deleted post]I agree totally, that Nokia can and should try to service all niches in the market. However S60 is a smartphone OS that simply doesn't satisfy those who are in the market for a smartphone. These handsets could almost certainly run Sym^3 (600MHz vs 680MHz in N8) and nobody who's not a fellow nerd likes resistive touchscreens. Such poor decision making...

*shakes head* Nokia what the hell are you doing?? S60 isn't the worst OS of all time, but it's FAR, FAR from good enough for a modern smartphone. Use S40 for feature phones, Sym^3 for smartphones and WP7 for flagships. I'm a fan and I want you to do well, but how can you expect to manage four separate ecosystems!?

I still prefer the design of Nokia 5233 over c5-03. C5-03 is thin and feels much lighter but I like the thickness and weight of my phone(brick). Even though it is 2 years old and s60v5 much older, I can write blogspot blogs on my phone on the go and I don't miss my computer(except for gaming). I wish it had a faster processor and bigger RAM as it is now getting old some websites that used to work before aren't working anymore. I can still play you tube videos at 360p but for that I have to embed it in a html document through Quickoffice, as the Youtube site won't let me play in on my phone.
But still, it is a lot better than more costly dumbphones as I have HTML 5 support, Swype keyboard, all necessary apps.
