satyajeet, 30 Jul 2018i have no issue with the notch as long as it goes with ui. i hope its has glass and metal back... moreWell, I agree with you as I love to sail smoothly keeping a few points sharp and strong on the hull. But looks should atleast be OKayish, but the design seems to be outright unacceptable.
The irony of things... when IPX was release every android users bashed the notch, now google itself embraced the notch, wonder what will be the excuse of android users now to justify the notch
Christian, 30 Jul 2018What the h*** are you talking about?!? Nokia had euro design back in the 90”-es up to around ... moreOpen your eyes it's the design details of the brick that differentiates the Nokia euro design
OK, i have to say I'm not excited with the design so far. The notch is DEEP. Meaning it is deeper than other android phones that has a notch, say P20Pro, or the Oneplus6. So meaning the notch on the Pixel3 is now wider, and deeper, covering more of the screen than others. And the bezels, OMG they are huge too. Not befitting of a "flagship" 2018 phone honestly.
AnonD-763696, 30 Jul 2018I've read all the comments ; almost 100 comments...Yours is the only intelligent one.Thanks. I really would love to see them challenge the norms. They have a camera game that allows them that freedom. Microsoft pioneered it with the Surface line, they were not making a mass market device. They raised the bar, we all benefitted. Google should do the same. Samsung, LG,HTC et al, they are all too scared to take a risk. Be nice to see a Pixel with a stylus, or some different backs. This glass back nonsense is beyond me.
someone, 31 Jul 2018Step into 2018 son where pixel is considered as mass production phone. What you are talking is... moreNot sure I have seen one ad, really. On TV? See a ton of push by Samsung and Huawei, seen nothing by anyone else.

What you are talking is the Nexus line up which was purely meant for developers. Did u see any ads for Nexus ? And how many ads do u see for pixel.

aVider, 30 Jul 2018That's exactly what i am thinking every time i see a new phone come out. Why a notch if you a... moreI like a chin, keeps some symmetry when using in landscape. Also allows for some finger space. I love the design, but would have like a wide angle lens also.
LG Superfan, 30 Jul 2018That single camera can outperform the bests of 2018 so its not a problemI hope you are correct, really I do. I want this device. Was viewing some video taken by my brother in law, on his Pixel 2. It was nothing short of stunning.
TDMaster, 30 Jul 2018i wonder who lied to them when they showed the design for the first time to some1... Google is... moreThey feel obligated to add a notch, to showcase P, I'm ok with it. I just wish they would get more radical with materials. Polycarbonate, ceramic, cork, anything but glass on the back. They don't need sales, indeed, they don't even push them hard. Leave mass adoption to Huawei or Samsung. Get experimental, push the materials. Glass is quite possibly the worst material for a device that gets handled, as much as a phone. Might as well have glass soles shoes or tyres.
Can it be possibly that this design is going to change?
This is just to test hardware?
TDMaster, 30 Jul 2018i wonder who lied to them when they showed the design for the first time to some1... Google is... moreExcept for the updates, I don't see any reason to go for a Pixel instead of a S9+ or XZ2P (which is almond on the same page with Google)
The bonus with S9+ or XZ2P is that they both have the SD card slot. Take this away and I'm suddenly not interested anymore.
