Ummm...you realize LG invented the capacitive touch screen phone? Also the QHD phone, double tap to lock/wake, the first device with 2 front cameras, the first device with 3 rear cameras, the first HDR device with raw shooting abilities, the first device with rear mounted buttons, pioneered self healing coatings on the body of the phone, and about 100 more different things that every single device today uses. If not for LG...this junk company as you claim...you wouldn't have half of what you probably take for granted on your device. LG stopped making phones because their display section is so lucrative. Your phone, probably a crappy iPhone or several devices you're owned in the past probably used several things made by LG. The Pixel 2xl was actually an LG device... basically an LG v30 that Google stripped of everything good. The quad dac is phenomenal, and produces massively better sound than most other devices. You probably know nothing about audio, and have garbage headphones. You have to use LGs music player to bypass androids mixer. Lol...an external dac like a dragonfly.....it's an ESS Sabre DAC. The higher quality Dragonfly uses this exact DAC. If you use Bluetooth, LG uses DTS:X with 3 different sound stage settings that are superior in every aspect to the garbage that is Dolby Atmos that phones use these days

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2018Bluetooth headset, so you can't use the DAC inside the V35 xDmy friend has lg g7, the quad dac is only marginally better than regular phones, nothing really special, compare to onkyo dp-cmx1 phone, they sound not very good.

also a better option is use an external dac such as audioquest dragonfly or use astell and kern xb10 aptx hd receiver, these options sounds significantly much better than lg so called quad dac

while B&O is a high end lifestyle brand (though not an audiophile brand), the technology with used in B&O audio is not really cutting edge, it doesn't even take advantage of high bitrate technology such as APTX HD which debuted on LG phone 3 years ago and been on LG flagship for many years

what is a better option in audio quality (sounds better than the phones quad dac via 3.5mm) astell and kern aptx hd xb10 receiver with this phone ( also compatible with recent sony, huawel, xiaomi as well) aptx hd bitrate is 600kbps, regular bluetooth is only 330kbps, but there again the target market of bang and olufsen is similar to apple and their airpods, the people who buy these are not generally tech/audio savvy, but some are.

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2018Bluetooth headset, so you can't use the DAC inside the V35 xDI would not say that you statement is correct because in my experience, most BT headphones over the ear types come with both a cable to connect them in wired form and the necessary input jack for said cable. My own Sennheiser 4.50 BT NC and my friend's high-end Sony BT Noise Cancelling Cans have the above and therefore can be used to connect to the headphone jack thereby making use of the Quad DACs. I also suspect that the V35 ThinQ likely has what LG has included on their G7 aptX HD which complements the B&O Cans enabling high fi sound via BT

Basically before LG shuts down, LG wants to sell their phones in stock with gimmicks.

XiaomiCEO, 30 Jul 2018LG cannot even make a proper phone... Come on!Seeing as how their last version sold out immediately, and the fact that there's 300, they're simply making money off of people who want a premium version. It's not a bad phone, it's just expensive.

Whichever more convenient depends on users. DAC or not why would it matter. Obsession over sound quality is too much emphasized here.

Luxor, 30 Jul 2018What do you mean cant be used with the phone? Of course it can also be used with the phone. The B&O earpieces can make use of the DAC. The bluetooth headset won't, so why would you use them over the earpieces. Although they are expensive the earpieces will deliver better sound.

Seems like they covered the full cost of headphones in retail pricing of the phone itself.

Deal? oh yeah... Signature edition whooppeee!

$500 phone wrapped in a facade.
