Why don't you decrease the size of icons to show 5 x 5 icons. Great for S2 screen since it has large space.

That is going back to Bada 1.0/1.2 OS system ...

Maybe that is also why Bada 2.01 OS has been delayed as it shares the near same Galaxy S II UI.

A bit silly if you ask me, Apple do not own left to right scrolling or 4 by 4 grid ...

To the person that said it looks like Symbian S60v5 or S^3, the big difference is use of Folders in Symbian thus adding another layer to get to the app as the firmware cant handle big grids.

This post is incorrect. Samsung will release this in an update as an option that can be activated for those with poorer sight. Your phone can stay the way it is currently.

it's for the elderly, and it is optional
(not a replacement for the current launcher)

Those who use non-stock ROMs or just different launchers - no matter.

What nonsense! The article does say that the size of the icons will be hopefully OPTIONAL. So you can always choose to keep the current size. And moreover, it is not clear whether the so called "update" will only update the Icons thing or will it give us the firmware update (android 2.3.5 at least if not 2.3.7) we, the owners of SGS II in INDIA, have been waiting for. India has been waiting for a Firmware Update for months, and Samsung is not replying to our queries posted on their Twitter & Facebook accounts. While the rest of the world has been updated to KI series, India is still stuck with KF3 firmware!

Can't trust this article. Seems to be nonsense. If the Icon size change is not optional then nobody will take this update! What utter nonsense!
