Reverting to fat top bezels would be a giant step back.
It would mean that the forces of evil would have won (a bit of how they won when they sealed the battery and forced us to have to charge the phone whilst in fact we didn't have to in the past).
Generally apart, from the sealed battery, in everything else the mobile market is progressive. I.e. it continuously progresses. If the notch dies and revert to the big fat unibrow of galaxy S it would mean that the market made a turn and it is becoming as boring as laptops were in 2010s.
I.e. more of the same and often regressions.
Hopefully tech geeks won't destroy this industry too.
. I kinda doubt it though since Apple is a thoroughly progressive comonay and don't listen to geeks. And thankfully most follow Apple (I remember back when most were following Microsoft, what depressive times it was, one good idea every 10 atrocious one).
