Anonymous, 30 Jul 2018Its a worlds largest 5g deal https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/30/nokia-t-mobile-us-agree-3point5-... moreKeep dreaming. That will never happen. This whole failed Chinese HMD scheme will cease to exist in a few years as quickly as it started. The real Nokia will never make mobile phones anymore - the market is way oversaturated, it was a completely different time in the noughties. There is no chance for Nokia to be competitive anymore.

Zenodroid, 30 Jul 2018False! According to some users on here, Samsung is the only one who have 5g and are the first ... moreFor network infrastructure, they sure are benefiting from that paranoia from the FCC. They already won a deal with two of the major telcos. ZTE will have to split like the FCC has required (or was it another entity?) and Huawei is Chinese so paranoia says no. The other major player is Ericsson.

I said that Nokia does rubbers boots too but i didnt say that they are the same company.
Point is that HMD have nothing to do with the T-Mobile and 5G contract as these are two different companies with same branding

Nokian, the rubber/boots company has nothing to do with Nokia the mobile company. They set parts a long time ago, probably more then 20 years just about in the time.Nokia started GSM research and developement. As for HMD, they will not get money out of this, but for sure they will profit out of the best 5G impementation in a mobile device, as their always was with Nokia devices since ever. Why? Because Patents. Nokia's leaders have actually declared they will have a devision who will control quality and patents for the new nokia devices, also, design. So instead of talking rubbish everytime there is a Nokia article on this site, take a leson. Or just shut up. Chonese mombo jumbo is already smoked. Come up with something new;).

Wow.... when it comes to telecom industry, most people just know nothing. In US, the only telecom mobile wireless vendor that allowed to play are Nokia and Ericsson. Huawei and ZTE are distrusted, and Samsung is new player. It means Nokia win the deal over Ericsson. Maybe, Nokia more promising to deliver new technology in near time. So whats the deal for you end user? nothing. If signal suck, just blame your operator.

T-Mobile's internet speeds kinda suck though. Once you've tried Verizon's blazing fast internet, you'll never be able to settle with anything else.
