Anonymous, 03 Aug 2018Sony?Not sure, I haven't tested any of their recent devices.
Something like the SONY Z3 Compact was great for its time, and I did have one. Though it is also not great for waterproofing, since the IP68 rating is more like a "low IP67" protection. And even worse is that it relies of plastic flaps/doors for the ports, which do wear out over time.
However, for what I have heard of the newer Sony models (by reputable reviewers), is that they are better and improved since the days of the Z2/Z5, but still not as good as Samsung/Apple when it comes to rigidity and waterproofing. And I'm inclined to believe these reports, but not able to confirm themselves personally.

The Samsung S8 Active is great/above expectations.
The LG V30 and Samsung S9 are normal.
The iPhone 7 and Samsung S7 are below average.
The Huawei P20 Pro and OnePlus 6 are not recommended/not-properly protected.

Most of the times you want to take a picture or video, where the weather isn't good for your real camera.

Glad to see there are still clever people in the world.
People who don't get hyped by smoke.
Basically, Huawei is pleased to announce that finally they can compete with SD845. Hahahaha

Chrsjns, 01 Aug 2018Just amoled, qhd is not really necessary eat up batteries....Damn true!
Huawei says years ago, that the only reason they didn't go for wireless charging was that it's basically slow charging. Hopefully with this inclusion it means the wireless charging is quite fast especially in comparison to other companies' solution.
I guess this phone is for people who longed for a phone that will last 2 days....
no unlock for bootloader = no buy
Smartphones Fan, 01 Aug 2018why wireelss charge it is soo slow.. Not as fast as wired charging but it's a very convenient feature to have. Having two ways to charge your phone is a good thing and also have the benefit of putting less stress on the USB port. I happen to love wireless charging.
If only we could unlock the bootloader... Pitty really.

As long as there is no notch, then it will be the flagship to fly off the shelves (apart from the US, sorry guys).
Yeah yeah... and Note 9 blah blah....
Kirin is Snapdragon 845 killer
Since going to Huawei with their sub brand Honor View 10 I haven't looked back at Samsung, no wonder they are losing out on market share. the View 10 just in battery life is superb compared to my old s7 edge.
I'll be looking closely at the handsets coming out with the new chipset, pretty much all their mid-high end devices atm have the 970 chip.
Wireless charging? What a waste. Give it ip68/69 instead. Or even better, hire some real people in the European support department!
