Apple's achievements are incredible given the cost of their phones and products.

Huawei's achievements should be measured against Samsung, as manufacturers are vying for the number one Android spot. Congrats to Huawei for dethroning Samsung, but look out for Xiaomi who have big ambitions too.

Too bad Samsung, your reign is looking to be over soon.

KamAbdi, 01 Aug 2018NO I don't like but I'm not saying that because I don't like the. I'm saying it because Appl... morein the last 4 years Apple did the following and the rest followed:
Fingerprint scanner
64 bit CPU
Dual camera at the back for portrait mode
Telephoto lens
Truetone flash
AR
even freaking Animojis
Also, not yet seen on other devices yet:
3D Face Unlock that works in complete darkness
OLED panels that fold under the screen (check MKBHD's video on youtube)

It's ok to not like the premium sector. A Ford Fiesta ST is faster than the average 3 series bmw while costing 2-3 times less. Guess which one most people would buy if they had the money.
But to say a company deserves to go bankrupt? Grow up.

To those screaming that Apple is going to die soon, keep in mind that over 70% of all the smartphone revenue goes straight to Apple. This because every single one of their phones is s premium phone with a high gain margin.

KamAbdi, 01 Aug 2018Huawei is going to overtake the 2nd spot from Apple and then will go for Samsung. Guys Apple ... moreSadly this is not entirely truth. When the new Iphones will come out in the last quarter, then Apple will take back 2nd place (not that I enjoy it, are just the facts).
Also Sony is not losing, is just not so much interested in smartphones. They have other more profitable industries (gaming, movies, music, cameras, etc.). The same for LG and their TV line-up, who is the most profitable in the TV world.
The only loosing company, sadly, is HTC, which is not able to keep up the pace with the new trends.

Glad no troll here be saying like "shipped not sold". This shipment data is enough to convey their global market share and that is a fact.

Marketing for their own Huawei high end flagship, introduce Honor phones to competes with other budget chinese phones, put a cheaper price with great built quality, intuitive EMUI, it works. It just works.

Kudos, Huawei.
