Leferis, 02 Aug 2018Well its nice to get 150$ discount for s5 i thinkThis was the case on S9 launch as well. S5 offered about 135€ cash-back (phone with minor scuffs), however if it had broken glass it offered about 113€ which is even better deal. The price was compiled as 100€ + whatever they deem the value of trade-in to be, so my S5 was deemed as 13€ :D

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2018You can keep it. The Mate 10 pro is better. Vanilla (non pro) Mate 10 is better than Pro

H-1, 02 Aug 2018Would be nice to elaborate, here are my 2 cents: Mate 9 had better camera which didn't blow... moreMate 10 has better camera than Mate9 is overhsharpens but other things like dynamic range, colors, low light shots are better amd SoC is comparable to SD845 in CPU, in GPU it lacks but you wont notice performance drop until compared and UI is user dependet some like Samsung UX some EMUI personally I like samsungs look and simplicity and EMUIs features and customization

escapology, 02 Aug 2018says who?Yeah. Who needs an SD card on a 128, 256GB phone these days? I can't get this No SDcard, no thanks mentality. Sdcard requirements are a niche market, maybe devs, hackers and multi-ROM enthusiasts need. I am perfectly ok and happy with 128 GB built in memory.

If I need more, just back it up on a NAS or something. That's better practice anyway.

Mate 9 had better camera which didn't blow colors beyond natural limits. So IMO the mate 10's camera was a downgrade.

The SoC is nice but can't compare to a 2018 one.

All other specs range from good to great but it wasn't a "full flagship" it was a milestone on which huawei hopefully will build the mate 20 better and greater.
The note 9 on the other hand has almost every piece of it on the high-end side of the scale. And with samsung's experience on top it's not a fair comparison

Leferis, 02 Aug 2018Well its nice to get 150$ discount for s5 i thinkIndeed, no one will buy S5 for that price with better new options, so it's a good saver.
