AnonD-20221, 11 Oct 2011Oh and about S2 going to get Ice cream update after a few months, thats the whole point... S2 ... moreWell, that's the difference between you and me; I don't call that waiting, ICS will simply turn a great phone into an excellent one. And meanwhile iOS users get a major update only once in 12(or more) months, which is ridiculous to me. Besides, with it, games that fully utilize the hardware will start hitting Android, so there really won't be any difference in performance there. And that's what I call future proofing; sure, the GSII will be a joke in about 1.5 years, but that doesn't mean it'll be obsolete, on the contrary - many people still won't need anything more than that, and yet Apple releases a new phone every year, and almost all iOS users feel that they need to get it, otherwise their current phone will suck, and that's one thing why I prefer Android over iOS.

Why do you always compare s2 to any phone? Android comes in a wide range of phones not just S2.lol. Anyway, this benchnark is impressive, but comparing a newly released phone with fresh hot new iOS5 to great grand androids isnt right.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2011I like how the Apple defenders are calling Android owners "geeks" while they are all... moreWhat do geeks know about real uses-experience.

I use an iPhone 4 since one year later and before an iPhone 3GS and I am very pleased of business application like scanning and documents viewer editor.Probably the new camera is more helpful,I make comparison by analogy with the difference between 3GS and 4.It is a reliable aid in daily business.

I like how the Apple defenders are calling Android owners "geeks" while they are all proud and bragging how the iPhone 4S clocked lower but mopped the floor with the Galaxy S II when it comes to the benchmark scores. I'm all about user-experience and freedom to customize, and contrary to what most believe, the iPhone provides no user-experience to me what-so-ever.

Myself having an Android phone, I do like the apple products especially being on the verge of getting a macbook pro due to design intensive programs.

These specs for the iphone4s are not amazing, but the performance is insane, will be rather interesting to see what the iphone 5 and the ipad 3 will be doing.

AnonD-20221, 11 Oct 2011Oh and about S2 going to get Ice cream update after a few months, thats the whole point... S2 ... moreYes thats how android seems to be working. Buy galaxy nexus with ics in q4 2011. Wait till q3 2012 for real performance when jellybean rolls out ;p
And by that time sammy wud be flooding ground-breaking (but game-less) quad cores.

AnonD-21465, 11 Oct 2011I don't like iPhone and everything it stands for, but I got to admit that benchmarks don't lie... moreYes, I totally agree, I very much dislike the company Apple and everything it stands for, however, these results are quite impressive. howver, I am awaiting the SG3 - rumors have it that it will be groundbreaking!

The hardware of Android phones are better (processor, gpu, etc), the only thing making iphone exceed droid phones is its OS. Android really needs to release a new version, which is ICS.

AnonD-21269, 11 Oct 2011As I said before, no, I don't mean benchmark performance, because that doesn't prove literally... moreOh and about S2 going to get Ice cream update after a few months, thats the whole point... S2 launched about half a year back and now you have to wait more till you get the said update to utilise its full potential... So it means buy a product now and you will get to use it after a year... Just turns me off mate...

AnonD-1825, 11 Oct 2011"All that power and nothing to do with it...Ahaha waste of some nice hardware" So... moreAndroid needs to have HUGE CPU numbers to fool the geeks into thinking "I got 'd best phone in the planet, and I'm so cool and I'm better than you!". Yup, that's how shallow Android geeks are.

Look at this guys, the 4S was clocked at 800 MHz and it was able to mop the floor with the 1.2 GHz Exynos. It really shows that the SGS 2 is overhyped.
