Anonymous, 11 Jan 2019Hi is there any problem after you update the phone ?No, no lags at all. Once I got the update I just did a full factpry reset so that the old system files will be cleared. Still solid!
Sadly, I had the chance to grab a cheap Note 9 deal and I gladly passed the phone along to a relative. It's definitely a worth-while phone I had for 4 years.
Got the same update for Galaxy Note Edge N915K. It's a Kernel patch, not an Android update.

Got an update for my SM-N910C (UAE region) this week and it's around 330MB. It didn't change my Android Security patch version (still August 2017) but the Kernel and software version has changed. Might be only a few minor fixes and updates from Samsung themselves.
Did not encounter any slowdown though. So yeah, still going strong. Cheers!!
I can't help but feel it's an I phone copy. Slow the phone down and the battery last longer.

This might be an update for SD805-powered Note 4s. Was expecting for the Security patch for Feb2018 but I only got Aug2017. Let me know if you encountered any update. Cheers!

I've tested it and I got 1 hour 30 mins charging time again along with around 5 hours Screentime on heavy use, while the longest I got was 15 hours. still crazy for a phone I got 4 years ago. And its still relevant with Android Marshmallow, 16MP and 4k video. I've got nothing to ask anymore from this phone it had served me well.
I just saw the Note 9 today and its a very tempting upgrade if the price was no objection lol.
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2018where did you buy your battery? im from philippines tooBro I bought it from the official Samsung Store at SM megamall. They still have stocks there, heard from local forums that they even had batteries made just last June 2018.
why is there no marshmallow update for samsung note 4 in the philippines?
It wil be good if samsung gives an gray scale mode in upcoming update for galaxy note 4 edge as soon as possible

The tag on the pack says July 2017 so it's still fresh I guess. Looking forward to squeeze another year or so before switching!
strange- nobody claims to have received this aug 2018 update for samsung galaxy note 4 ..all talk talk then ...
Anonymous, 06 Aug 2018You're so right.... :(The only thing better is an LG V20.
Faster 4G-LTE, faster processor, faster gpu, better camera, bigger battery (also removable).

I have a Note 4 running in pristine manner, with the last update before this latest update came along. I dont have battery issues, freezes or anything that bothers me. In short, my Note 4 works well.
There are a lot of people still on Note 4 for lots of good reasons, I wouldnt put it past Samsung to try it on with us and send out an update to slow down or wreck our great Note 4 to force an upgrade.
