Only true fact amoung all arguments is that Samsung clearly sucks at updates. Even if it makes best Flaghsip phones, but thier software puts me really off.
H-1, 03 Aug 2018You're going to have a hard time convincing new note users that 16:9 actually offers better pe... moreSame thoughts! It's all about using the S Pen, but that magic I think went away with the Note 7/FE. The Note 7/FE had the thinnest Note bezel in 16:9 format. I'm actually considering that phone strongly but due to a lot of negative than positive reviews I've hesitated. I've considered the Note8 but dang it's top-heavy than my phone especially if in one-handed mode.
I'm betting half of the Note 8 buyers are after the dual-cam setup than the actual pen usage. Which is a shame since i've gone doing artworks in my Note 4 and actually broke 4 out of the 6 pen tips that this phone had. Really a beast of a phone and my best Note yet. I'll find out which from the Note 8 or 9 will stand out as my next, or probably which out to a new device if it does not fit my needs anymore.
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2018It will slow down phone to make users get rid of Note 4.
Because note 4 was best note no one ... moreThat actually scares me as the possibility to be true. Sadly almost every company is like this.
And even when the note 7 went out and the Note 5 and now 4 were the only options for two years Samsung did not want people to have the Note 4 at all.
They did not give one good update or feature to it all that it deserved or to make up for the losses. They properly kept it limited to minimal updates.
Its so sad that this is our world
xXENDER FREAKXx, 04 Aug 2018Fact, Google is the one making all the decisions on whether the chipset is applicable for ANDR... moreEven the exynos in note 2 is more thank capable of art least 6.0. And the note 4 with s805?? It's a joke to think it's not capable of running well on any version out right now
Bullmarket, 03 Aug 2018Samsung you better upgrade it to Android 8.1 or at least 7 instead. Thats why I changed my Note 4Fact, Google is the one making all the decisions on whether the chipset is applicable for ANDROID NOUGAT or ANDROID OREO, brand manufacturers will roll out to their smartphones if it is applicable. If the chipset doesn't meet their requirements, then the ANDROID software the smartphone is currently using will be its last. Unless u want to root your smartphone and download custom AOSP ROMs afterwards, which can give u the latest versions of ANDROID. Of course, with the danger of bricking your smartphone...
Bullmarket, 03 Aug 2018Samsung you better upgrade it to Android 8.1 or at least 7 instead. Thats why I changed my Note 4No, they wont upgrade it. Go buy a new Samsung phone. That is what they want you to do. Hahahhaa.
Anonymous, 03 Aug 2018I don't doubt it. Android is not getting harder to run with updates.Exactly... That's what emulators were for if devices were incapable of running a certain type of software...
But those days are finally long gone..
Everything is possible now if you put the right amount of time & resources into it.

All samsung note 4 updates say the same thing about battery and security. This update practically does nothing.
[deleted post]your chinese language understanding is bad. U better learn chinese language first before posting random videos in here.
Your video clearly states that china and korea phones have much superior features, lower price, and most of them have better aftersales support compared to sony.
Your video states that sony always repeat the same mistake over and over again every year
It will slow down phone to make users get rid of Note 4.
Because note 4 was best note no one buys never ones.
Crackling Doom, 03 Aug 2018Do they know about LG V20?The LG V20 has a newer SoC and 4vs3GB ram of the Note 4 , but everything else is on par or worse (screen, battery life etc) and especially, NO PEN and it was launched ->2
My Note 4 refused to charge or turn on about 5 weeks ago. I went to Battery plus..they put in a new battery but still will not come on. Despite its age, i still love the Note 4 and it has been my very last Galaxy Note cuz i am not a fan of the curved and now narrow elongated screens.
It was a device that was released beyond its time..i love the way it feels in hand and the 16:9AR QHD amoled screen. I wish Sammy will make a special edition Note 4 with upgraded specs, 6'' to 6.3'' screen, a bigger removable battery...then watch it fly off the shelves.
Anyway does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to make my Note 4 turn on or take a charge??? Thanks for any suggestions from all the Note 4 fans or anyone.

I don't think it's hard for samsung to make a 5.5-6" 16:9 screen with no bezels, it'll still be easy to hold and has room for three words instead of one or two in portrait. But "trendy" people will go for other phones then :(
Crackling Doom, 03 Aug 2018Do they know about LG V20?They do. But they use the pen on a nearly daily basis like I do. If the V20 had a pen support they would've gotten it long ago
TPAA, 03 Aug 2018"It will slow down phone to make users get rid of Note 4. Because note 4 was best note no one... moreThe Note 4 did cost a lot more than 350. I can't remember exactly how much I paid but I think it was in the high 600's. The cheapest Samsung Android flagship was the first Galaxy S and that one went for around 450-500 euros at launch.
It is nice to see Samsung giving an update to this. Its something other phone makers van learn from. Either that or Samsung learned form their S7 note fiasco.
