Whereas this has IR face unlock like Mi 8. Mi 8 SE does not have any IR or 3D face unlock at all.

And thats just one example of Ciaomi phone with "latest Android version", at least, it was until 9 Pie..

Max 5.2" screen or whatever you can fit in a body smaller than 140mm.
No notch.
Stock Android.
Priced around 400 EUR
I would buy it in an instant.
