At least it increase STB ratio. I still against notch but this is in 'ok' level. In contrary, it is Samsung that is pointless. Superamoled but still have chin. If they didnt curved the screen they could had bend the bottom part like Apple did.

Btw, first notch phone is Essential which is an android. This F9 is more like a narrower notch version of Essential. This design actually more acceptable for me if this industry so keen on enforcing notch on smartphone.

Still has that large chin. Come on, OEMs, if you're gonna have a sizeable chin, don't bother having a notch at the top, just give it some bezels on top like what Samsung and the Pixel 2 XL does. It just looks kinda dumb if it has a notch yet has a large chin at the bottom.

Smaller notch is still a notch and it still looks ugly! When are these Android OEM's going to realize that the Android community hates the notch!?? What's even more painful is that even Google copying this ugly notch from Apple! I wonder if they have any self respect left for blatantly copying iphones like that! Hate to say that Google is just following 'the trend' rather than innovating regarding this issue! Please leave minimalistic bezels or find some sort of solution like Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X! But no notch please!!!
