von, 12 Oct 2011Its so neat and simple and so fun to use and it really has real functions! I wouldn't be shock... moreExcept for the web searching, SGSII can do every other function such as making calls, sending texts, and write/saving memos etc. "without touching the phone" I could do this back 6 months ago. Siri on iPhone seems to complete those tasks at the same pace as Vlingo on SGSII. Having said that, I don't use that feature because it's slower than doing it myself by hand. Of course, if you're stupid, you'd go the slow way around and tell your phone to do it for you.

Web searching directly through Siri seems to be a good idea though. But that's about it.

People make dislike Apple for their premium price and lack of flexibility, but they're among the ONLY company that takes something and makes it perfect.

Oh, and I'm also pretty sure Apple's best friend (you know who!) will try to copy this as well.

But hell, that's how they speak, and a voice s/w that doesn't recognise this wouldn't sell in those markets.

What I love about apple is that they take useful features and bake them to perfection!

For example, we had touch screen phones but no one wanted them until apple baked an amazing touch screen for the iphone. Same goes for video calling, Nokia & S/E were among the first to have front video calling cameras but it was very rare to use them, until apple came with the face time idea.

And now apple are using the voice command in a way that I believe all androids will follow especially the number one copyist in the world, well u know who!

Let's just admit it, fans and haters, apple are awesome, they indeed changed the way the whole world uses phones, and they did that with one damn device the iphone! Can you believe this??! Nokia and others have been making phones like for ever, but the cellphone business never was that hot and interesting until apple came abroad.

Top respect for apple and the brilliant guy Steve, rest in peace! You are indeed a genius, and will be missed.

I've been using a smartphone for two years, never tried the voice command program. Don't think it's a useful tool.

yeah it's cool and all that, but as with every other voice based app it would be awkward for people to tell their phones what it needs to do

i think this siri app is the most coolest for my liking. It could possibly be used as a security app when it can be improved of the pressing button drawback and the phone is within, but out of reach of the hand during a sudden attack. If the app is worked on and rid of the button, i will give apple 100% out of 100%, but now apple has 99%. Any thanks for the innovative trial, i quite appreciate it

Faster to do them on my own... especially if I have to press a button to talk every time I want to talk to the phone.

I guess this would be good for old people or vision impaired people.
