Why are people saying that Android/Symbian have done this before when it's not even integrated?

Anyway, its funny to see how people keep denying the strong influence Apple has on the tech industry. Up until the day before the Siri announcement, I don't seem to remember people making much noise about Voice Actions, Vlingo etc.

Siri gets announced, and suddenly that's all Android fanboys (not the fans, there is a distinction) can talk about. Even if Voice Actions, Genius, Vlingo etc are 10 times better than Siri, it still took Apple to make you guys start talking about it no? Who is the market leader now?

This technology has been around for a while now ,but i think what can be commended to apple is the way its been marketed and integrated into their OS,So as much as yes the apple fanboys will talk, We must give jack its jacket, Apple has vision

Siri will only be available in certain countries when the 4s is launched.
This is a mistake imo as Siri is the main reason for iphone 4 users to upgrade to 4s.

I am really interested how well this is going to work to anyone not british or american, seeing how much of a fail WP7 speech recognition software is right now (and they keep telling me I have a good accent when it comes to English).
