Vivo doesn't come in White which is a shame and on both colors the front edges and chin are black, :( I hate black, why would you go through all the trouble to pick those lovely colors and then ruin them by blackening the bezels, stupid

They do provide very good support to their phones. Budget devices even get one android version upgrade.
While they do not always provide the latest android OS version along with their MIUI updates for older devices, they do bring the important security patches. The new features that newer android versions often bring, is already included in MIUI from before, or in the update, despite not being the newest android version.
I have the old 1st generation Mi Max, and it's old and an affordable device. For the most part, budget devices are not prioritized and I have had more expensive devices not receive a single update from manufacturer. My Mi Max does not feel left alone. I have received secutiry patches on a regular basis, and along with MIUI 10 I'm sure it will be another security patch level as well as mney new features, even though it remains as android 7 at it's core.
And according to SnoopSnitch, I'm well into their green zone with regards to android patch level analisys. This is a field where even Samsung on their flagships do a worse job.

Nokiax, 08 Aug 2018Xiaomi has worst android update record... At least, they have own skin, 20 phones with 8.1 out of the box from 2018 (you only need to pay for that phone..), MIUI 9 is on 5 years old Xiaomi phones. HMD can only dream about that (esp own skin)

Well, as of right now, the Find X clear... moreHad they positioned the camera above the finger sensor it would have made it a lot worse because of radius for camera window and the color difference in the white version, besides you have that ceramic as another display so I could do with everything being out of the way for a clearer view of my surrounding :)

Well, as of right now, the Find X clearly would win the award for the best looking phone of 2018, and the least practical one as well.
