pi4a7a, 08 Aug 2018So you still wanna control bezel less phone with navigation buttons? How is traditional software buttons bad? They are much more USEFUL and PRACTICAL than GESTURES. Many Android users can agree that software buttons makes navigation of the stock android interface EASIER, REGARDLESS of how BIG or SMALL the screen is. These buttons were there since Honeycomb / Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 3.0 / Android 4.0) and has gone through several iterations to get to where they are today. Therefore, there is NO REASON to ditch them other than TARGETING iPhone X customers to get more PROFIT$$.
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2018Yes they mock Apple but then blindly copy them (no headphone jack, no SD card, notch, gestures). LUL
The LG Pixel 3 XL will have a terrible screen and an enormous notch. The HTC Pixel 3 will have a decent screen and no notch. Gotta go with HTCs version again. I really wish they used a different manufacturer for the larger Pixel. Vivo or Huawei comes to mind. Whoever decided to partner with LG should be fired.
Thesis86, 09 Aug 2018And they say Sony phones are uglyYeah.. We knew it..
But Sony always try to use original design than copy the trendsetter..
Because Sony wanna be the trendsetter from the first product released..
That's why Sony go for without notch + ditch the jack because they want peoples know that their LDAC is good
No brand can design like Nokia’s even after Microsoft released their own brand Lumia the 950 it was fugly like this shtt pixel
It's so funny that in Q4 2018 flagship came with 4GB ram.
If htc can screw thier own smartphones, well then, you know Google; who have you hired to do the nasty job of Notching out this year's Pixel. You could have fitted a permanent "Google search" bar there instead of ugly vessel that begs for some "Pie".
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2018It's just so ugly. I can't believe this is the best they could do. And now with more and more ... moreI know. This is the ugliest phone with a notch that I've ever seen. One of the ugliest touch phone ever. I don't even know what to say. The original pixel was ugly but this just ohhh.
I understand the reason for the top notch. I don't like it but I get it. I don't, however, understand why the Pixel 3 needs such a large bottom bezel or chin. I agree with the other commenters about how ugly this design is. If they tried, Google could either insert the top sensors in small circular cuts outs or place them inside of motorized pop ups like its Chinese competitors (Oppo and Vivo). Also, for a flagship phone, it should have more RAM and ROM memory.
Google has much talent. They can do better than this.
Google sponsor Essential and make a new Nexus line, we need this.
OMG that notch is so huge and deep. It's ugly.
Did apple patent the screen folding on the bottom on the iphone X? why can't android phones just fold the screen at the bottom to reduce the bezel at the bottom of the phone just like what iphone x did
Thesis86, 09 Aug 2018And they say Sony phones are uglyNo. This Pixel 3XL is the ugliest so far bar none. It looks like a face with missing front teeth.
And they say Sony phones are ugly
About design, is my design better than Google Pixel 3 XL? I designing phone when I bored. It is has 20:9 ratio screen.
I call it MTX 3.
That notch is pretty deep. The phone is like a lady that has two upper front teeth missing. Seriously Google? No doubt this phone really is a parody of iPhone X's notched design, much like how Weird Al would parodize music artists and music videos! And what would you call its color this time? 'Very' silver, 'Absolutely' silver or 'Indeed' silver? Or how about 'Very' grey, 'Absolutely' grey or 'Indeed' grey?
wow i comes with a huge notch and a huge chin. what's happening
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2018Yes they mock Apple but then blindly copy them (no headphone jack, no SD card, notch, gestures). Anyway next year they will make a cellphone with dual OS (Android and IOS) , with notch. The different is only their logo.
Xperia, 08 Aug 2018You age got to be above 50 year to justify your comment. I mean you liked PIXEL 2 design? LO... moreSorry, meant Pixel 2 XL. Even then the regular Pixel 2 didn’t have a bad design, it just felt like a wasted opportunity to me to make a nice looking compact phone.
