this is very old news. T mobile and orange has been joined up for some time now. Just saying that Orange has the worst coverage between the two.
[deleted post]If only you try to open your eyes..........uou will be able to fathom that i have responded to a completely differenr comment....so i think you should shop for a bottle of vinegar & clean your eyes!!
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2011How will this work then? Currently I'm with Orange, and I have benfitted several times due to... moreI'd expect it to show up as the same signal so instead of having two 3G operators it will just be 1, but with possibly 2 masts.
comment about o2 is completely wrong. o2 has the worst 3G coverage of any network in the uk with speeds at maximum only being 3.5 mbps... orange has 7.5mbps as does t-mobile. get your facts right!!!
Although I agree in part that offshore contact centres aren't particularly great (mainly due to them not understainding particular colloquialisms that we take for granted), it makes no diference if the agents aren't trained properly. I have been put through to onshore agents who have no training and therefore can't answer my questions - geographical location makes very little difference.
As to sharing 3G sites, I've never had any issues with either network apart from when travelling on high-speed trains.
If my data request can now be handed over to more cell sites, surely this can't be a bad thing?
ALso, those who are complaining about contracts, I think you'll find that T-Mobile's Flext Plans offer the best value I've seen for a long while.
Also, they've just brought back U-Fix on a 12 month contract! Excellent!
At least I don't have a BlackBerry... :-)
How will this work then?
Currently I'm with Orange, and I have benfitted several times due to the T-Mobile network sharing (2G). This certainly helps with calls and texts. However, with the proposed 3G sharing does that mean that if there is only an Orange 2G signal, but an available T-Mobile 3G, will it swap over? Or is it a case of there has to be NO Orange 3G OR 2G and then it'll swap to the best T-Mobile signal available i.e. 3G or 2G.?

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2011customer service in india, the worst 2g/3g coverage in the uk, they are chargin an awful lot o... moreSO it seems to me you have a mighty big problem that the customer service is in India??? Let me enlighten you that we provide the best customer service without compromising on quality..............& we speak better english I should add grammatically correct than most people across the board.........
Also Polish T-Mobile & Orange sign off same deal to share their 3G :)
I live in sunderland and I don't own a phone yet this makes it sound attactive to get one man.
customer service in india, the worst 2g/3g coverage in the uk, they are chargin an awful lot of money my mates when they calling me (o2) what else? ORANGE - THE WORST TELECOM COMPANY IN THE UK -
i still think that 3 is the best network service provider and even the offers that they have are best among all the competitors in the UK.....
that should be all companies should have all access to all other companies without any charge that would be good! no more simcard or phone to rent or whatever thanks!!
I think that in most urban places the T-Mobile / Orange combination might work but to a lesser extent. What is really needed in the UK is better coverage in the countryside and I have not experienced any benefit from this T-Mobile / Orange agreement in rural areas. In fact coverage is poor.
who do you think is the worst mobile provider in australia??
Three is the best network as long as you don't want a contract, nothing beats good coverage, reasonable speed and an actually unlimited data plan :)
[deleted post]I am a T-Mobile and a orange customer, and from time to time I swap out the Sim cards. When they charge to the other you get no data throughputbut but can send texts or make calls.
meow, 12 Oct 2011t mobile sucks in the UK and ornage is ok and btw they both are the same company
You're wrong mate. T-mobile and orange are not the same company
