ever since orange and t mobile have been sharing,i have found that my signal coverage has gone poor. i was told that dual locations where reduced to one cell site and both t mobile/orange shared one mass. also have been told that the network have capcity issues with 3g handsets which causes your mobile to be kicked off 3g to 2g and results in lower data access. Will this get worse now with sharing the 3G sites???
J78biker i couldnt of put it better myself.I.deal with these guys everyday and have to say 3 is the worst then tmobile orange vodafone and o2 have tp be the best.3 are cheap for a reaso. You pay peanuts and you get monkeys quite litterally.
The diffrences in single between the two companies is massive. I get 3mbits with Orange but their coverage is pretty poor while T-Mobiles is good but they limit bandwith to 300kbits.
AnonD-16764, 12 Oct 2011I agree DITCH FOREIGN CALL CENTRES......they deprive local people work and are USELESS....no a... moreumm.. a one off bad experience and you are compeltely against it? Orange Customers are mainly handled and taken care of by Offshore centres.. and as per the onshore team members, including me.. believe me they are not all that bad, not bad at all
wheres LTE?
Never had a problem with Orange. I once switched to Vodafone and it was one of the worst decisions I ever made.
And we're already using T Mobiles network.
AnonD-9550, 12 Oct 2011good riddance :) to be honest with you, if you think that 3, O2 or Vodafone dont have foreign ... moreI agree DITCH FOREIGN CALL CENTRES......they deprive local people work and are USELESS....no actually, I will rephrase that, from personal experience TOTALLY USELESS!!
Both companies are I feel at the best mean with their returns policy...so make a good match....ditto not so good call centres at times. As for amalgamation of network.....what a waste of cash duplicating cell areas when many are not adequately covered. Be better to nationalize the infrastructure and rent it to cell phone companies.
I'd just be happy with getting a connection/signal that is good. Living here in a UK city (Nottingham) I am stunned by how poor network coverage is in certain areas even though the companies say there shouldn't be any problems (even on their network area maps it says all is well with full strength) We've tried several makes of phones on different networks and still get problems in the city!!!!
If they want to do anything they should listen to their customers when they have a problem and don't stick their head in the sand ignoring it.
AnonD-9550, 12 Oct 2011good riddance :) to be honest with you, if you think that 3, O2 or Vodafone dont have foreign ... moresteady on son i work for o2 !! all uk based now only phone company that can boast that
orange and t-mobile joint venture = shut down over 5000 masts combinded, it still prefrences your network so if poor coverage does not auto switch only if NO coverage = poor customer expierence still. All call centres have foriegn over flows and yes three uk is worst ( i worked for them ) O2 is probably best followed by vodafone then t-mobile, orange and three. Over the last eight years worked for all but one of these companies. Network sharing is a good idea in principle, not so good in practice.
Callum, 12 Oct 2011Orange by far has THE worst customer service i have ever witnessed in my life. I can not wait ... moregood riddance :) to be honest with you, if you think that 3, O2 or Vodafone dont have foreign call centers then you are in for a SPECIAL surprise when you have an issue with your phone :) also, look forward to paying huge insurance premiums and excessive excess payments :)
It's a lot better when you get through to someone in the UK.
As for offshore call centres, you haven't experienced shocking until you've spoken to 3's.
this happened a while back?
Excellent news. I am with T Mobile & coverage, reliability have all been great but this will be even better!!
Anonymous, 12 Oct 2011well said they dont understand english !Mate, tell me about it. The other day they told me they would ring me back at 1300 in the UK. I waited until 1800 then phoned kicking off. Sure enough they said the manager would ring me before close at 2200. 2145 i rang them kicking off. I was then told that the girl who was supposed to phone me, was on her "lunch" break............at 2200?? So i said, "And how would that be possible" in which she replied, its day time. EEERRRRRR No its really not love.
