Symbian did that on 2011 / 2012 … My N8 and after that my 808 had a feature that acted like that.
Samsung Galaxies already support images on AOD

For LED, Black is no consumption and for White it's only for the pixels it will light up. Whereas LCD will be constantly consumes energy for whole display.

dont be a hater of tech if you dont know anything.
Really, Google? Why not rather give us the option of customising which notification icons are available, like on Windows Phone 8?
bring up some better features instead of setting pixelated black & white wallpaper on always on display. doesn't even look good on my nokia 925, or is it any different on android?
3D Memories, 09 Aug 2018Great for Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus and all phones with OLED screen Bad for all Xperia s... moreFrom my experience in this forum, it's Sony fans who complain because they can't have these features haha. The other day there was this Sony guy who didn't know what night light is and was going on that if you need night light you should turn on the screen of your phone while it's charging at night. I literally rolled on the floor laughing haha go check out Jeepers Creepers post on gsmarenas topic called "ANATEL certification suggests that the Sony Xperia XZ3 will come with smaller battery" what a newb.
I loved the always on display of my old Nokia N8. You could change the images and it would break down any image for the low power display automatically. I had a gif of Mecha Sonic from Sonic 3 & Knuckles charging on the Master Emerald when I had my phone charging.
Great for Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus and all phones with OLED screen
Bad for all Xperia smartphones lol
Incoming all LCD boys with weird justifications on how bad and useless this feature is and how it drains their puny 3060mah batteries :D
Pointless and useless for LCD screen smartphones.
That's just pointless when it'll just drain your battery even more
