Symbian did that on 2011 / 2012 … My N8 and after that my 808 had a feature that acted like that.

For LED, Black is no consumption and for White it's only for the pixels it will light up. Whereas LCD will be constantly consumes energy for whole display.

bring up some better features instead of setting pixelated black & white wallpaper on always on display. doesn't even look good on my nokia 925, or is it any different on android?

The other day there was this Sony guy who didn't know what night light is and was going on that if you need night light you should turn on the screen of your phone while it's charging at night. I literally rolled on the floor laughing haha go check out Jeepers Creepers post on gsmarenas topic called "ANATEL certification suggests that the Sony Xperia XZ3 will come with smaller battery" what a newb.

I loved the always on display of my old Nokia N8. You could change the images and it would break down any image for the low power display automatically. I had a gif of Mecha Sonic from Sonic 3 & Knuckles charging on the Master Emerald when I had my phone charging.
