Currently a Galaxy Note 4 user, and I have to say if money was no object I'd get the 128GB/6GB unit as my upgrade. Say what you wanna say about the 2018 flagships but currently this had impressed me the most on all of the Samsung devices.
I was also considering the OnePlus6 and the Huawei P20 Pro as alternatives and price-wise they are awesome except if you're an avid S Pen and hungry power user (like me), it's no match to the features of the Note line. I've been creating my presentations, artworks and notes on the go and saving them on the cloud for future access (in case I lost my phone or transitioning to other devices). Yes, it is pricey but the productivity that Samsung Note is enabling is worth the price. A lot of people had complained about the USD 1,000 price, had anyone been complaining about Apples'? People are still buying that too.
Features-wise the battery and the pen are good productivity enhancements and what embodied the Note series ever since the start - More is more. Imagine dividing the price into 2 or 3 years of use and I'm sure you've already had your ROI on it.
In Indonesia, the pre order is open. For 6 GB/128 GB, the price is IDR 13.499.000 or +- USD 930 free Samsung SmartTV 32". For 8 GB/512 GB, the price is IDR 17.999.000 or +- USD 1.245 with free Samsung SmartTV 40".
In Australia it is AUD$1499 for the 128GB/6B model (USD$1100) & AUD$1799 for the 512GB/8GB model (USD$1325). But it seems all pre orders until 24th, both outright and on a phone plan will get the 512GB/8GB model at the price of the cheaper $2440.
Dutchie, 09 Aug 2018Don't forget that Note 10 is coming out in 12 months lol Not 12 months, Q1 or Q2 2019
samsung can not sell phone the same price of iphone,
soon big price drop will come
We all know that the global prices of the Samsung flagship phones are hitting the £1000 quid mark but look at the price of Oppo find X over £900 quid for global version, just wait until you see the price of Oppo find X Lamborghini edition when launched £1200 to £1300 quid or the asus Rog gaming phone in the UK. Some Chinese brand's are following the same pricing but some brand's and the smartphones that give value for the money, Asus ZenFone 5z, OnePlus 6, Xiaomi mi mix 2s, Xiaomi black shark, Vivo next s, ZTE Nubia red magic.
In Italy il Galaxy Note 9 will cost 1029 euro 6GB ram e 128GB rom, and 1279 euro for 8GB + 512GB.
bezels on Galaxy Note 9 seems to be pretty big after I saw oppo find X.but last year salaxy s8 caught everybody's attention.
Stondec100, 09 Aug 2018Already reserved my 512gb unlocked. The only thing I'm unhappy about is the absence of IR blaster. Is it your hard earned money ??
AnonD-772315, 09 Aug 2018Are you complaining about the price f Galaxy Note 9? Did you forget that after 5 months of wai... moreAnd who cares about the XZ2 price in India?
BTW please compare apples with aples (prices in the same country)
Anonymous, 09 Aug 2018Nobody cares about Sony on this thread. Aren't you busy enough fending off the trolls on Sony ... moreI suggest that you read through this thread and see who brought up Sony at the first place.. And yes, I agree. No place for Sony bashing on this site.
AnonD-772315, 09 Aug 2018Are you complaining about the price f Galaxy Note 9? Did you forget that after 5 months of wai... moreI'm not compaling about the price because I already said that the prices of the phones are going to inrease becase last they were near to the 1000 mark and other were complaining about it when Sony did their phone 1000 so I'm hear to question the people who were bashing.
And so if Sony released the XZ2 before 2 months. Batter be late than never. :)
Honestly your the one who is complaining so please don't tell me I'm trolling and go else where when you can't even handle the truth.
And it's not about the comments, it's about you people who are bashing all the time.
Hahahaha I'm here sitting and not leaving so have fun :)
[deleted post]Correct. Ex note 4 user here. Never made it to Note 5 due to lack of external storage and Note 7 due to eee, you know what.. Great phone it was (with a custom ROM, :)).
In a year's time I used the stylus only twice, so yeah, for me is useless (although others will certainly find it useful). Reminded me of the good old Palm and later PocketPC days, but no use really.
Screen was nice but the Note 8 colours are so artificial indeed.
HJ? Come on, this is 2018, HJ is dead. Do some people really want HiFi extreme sound quality whilst in the underground or bus going to work every morning?
The things I miss from Note4? Removable battery (funny people don't mention this any more and instead they prefer HJ) because yes, battery life was non-existent in the Sammy (way worse than ALL the Xperias that have replaced it ever since), and the IR. Sadly, both these features have been removed from the latest lightsabres (eee, Notes I mean).
KamAbdi, 09 Aug 2018Dude Now saying no one cares about Sony??? Always the comment numbers are big in Sony articles... moreAre you complaining about the price f Galaxy Note 9? Did you forget that after 5 months of wait Sony has JUST released Xperia XZ2 in India for 1060USD!!
The only achievement for you seems to be the number of comments on Sony articles... go troll somewhere else.
Stondec100, 09 Aug 2018Already reserved my 512gb unlocked. The only thing I'm unhappy about is the absence of IR blaster. Yeah, hope they bring it back but not going to hold my breath

I said this here to prove a point that all the smartphone prices gonna increase and some people where blaming Sony for it. So now lets see how thing go on.
[deleted post]I agree... Except,
What about all the features on a proper flagship?
Huge storage? Bigger and better battery? Comparable performance? Same camera results? Better buck for "money is just an object" people?
Yeah. Definitely the Galaxy Note series still wins the overall marketing.
Oh did I forgot the mighty S Pen?
