Joe Alligator, 13 Aug 2018what brought them down? its not like they were doing any better before lenovo took over.. the ... moreAt the time I feel the moto z and z force were great devices for the specs, the moto x and its customisation was amazing too. They just had to marry the modern looks, materials with customisation, expand into more markets (moto z force was unavailable in the uk). All they had to odo was same design, better internals and less bezels kinda like the oneplus 5t front / s9 front, it's only the back panel they need to keep the same shape for the pins.

moto doesn't share it's own source codes.
they even make their phones lighter and lighter to cutting Prices. ( Removing OIS and poor Battery ) .
so for what thing , i should pay for ?

Battery is not competitive. Camera pixel size is average and their is no OIS.

Whackcar, 12 Aug 2018Moto messed up this time for sure. Moto should've released Z3 Force with latest chipset & ... moreUnfortunately Moto seem to have given up on the Mods, so this is a development wise cheap way to keep their promise, by merging the Z3 Play with the Z2 Force.
I too had hoped for a Z3 Force. But they seem to have completely lost interest in the Z-series. As can also be seen by the way they failed to back the winners of the competition on creating new mods. The QWERTY keyboard guys have really struggled with Moto, delaying the whole project with many months.
The 5G mod seem to be made for the bragging rights only, not anything they expect to sell in high numbers.

As I posted in other threads, the SOLE reason to get the Z-devices is the Mods.
If you do not need/want the Mods, look elsewhere for cheaper alternatives.
If you DO need/want the Mods - well then you have to shell out, as there are no competitors.
It is a bit like the highly priced BB Priv. The only keyboard slider on the market means no competition, and thus not unexpected a high price point.

Moto messed up this time for sure. Moto should've released Z3 Force with latest chipset & shatterproof 1440p screen as usual, instead of this mediocre phone which doesn't really fit in any particular category.
