Chinese flagships costs 999 euros in the same countries. Apple's flagship cost almost 1,200 euros. So, even if you don't use the pen, you get all the rest and more. For less.
This is a unique flagship cos of the S-Pen. There isn't really another option but if you are not into S-Pen then i'll say go for the cheap flagships or wait for price drop cos they are getting ridiculous.

For me, the headphone jack is not needed as I have been using wireless headphones for the last 1.5 years - I would not want to get caught in cables and tagled wires anymore. Period. And the audio quality of my €450/$500 buds is perfect.
Big battery + big screen = same usage time as smaller battery with more usable (smaller) screen. I have big hands, but the Note series are just too big to feel totally comfortable using them. Especially when walking and doing other stuff while using the phone. (multitasking)
Notch/no-notch is debatable. I would prefer to have the screen extended around the headpiece and use that wasted space for displaying the battery info, clock, and other status and notification icons instead of those eating up from my content screen space or being hidden away in order to allow more content on the screen.
Then it is running non-stock android, so updates will be delayed.
Not to mention it has weaker hardware than even the iphone 8, which is an old phone by now.
AnonD-732843, 12 Aug 20185G.Seriously don't wait for 5G next year. It will take too long for 5G networks to have decent coverage.
14% of preorders for a $999+ phone which cant make coffee ?

You can hate on the Note 9 as much as you want but there is no denying that this is the most complete phone out there right now! There is a Headphone jack, big battery, exceptional display and no ugly notch.
Definitely a great upgrade for old Galaxy flagship users.
But for me, I'll wait for few years to buy this in a very discounted price!
