Rushed out phone before competition. Bundle $150 in-game currency and "$300" headphone on pre-release. Samsung is so desperate knowing iPhone X+, Pixel 3 XL and Mate 20 Pro are going to wipe the floor with Note 9

Funny, they low-mid ranged smartphones nearly to death, always been overpriced with a shitty spec, slow update or no update at all, now they are focusing on stupid ads, believe me, samsung sooner die in low-budget -mid ranged smartphones in SEA & south asia. irony

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2018There your comment fits really well „but yet again who cares“ Fandroid Argumentation. Of N... moreopening apps split seconds faster is far better than just having high scores in benchmarks (which in no use in user experience) if let's say you use to edit videos and your work depend on higher core speed then by all means you got the best phone for you but it also mean you are only %1 against majority of people who use their phone normally like opening apps, taking pictures and videos, playing some game, web browsing and making phone calls so having higher scores in benchmark doesn't matter if it doesn't effect in user experience .

Samsung has been lackluster this year . There market coverage is the only reason they are still at number one spot. Otherwise they would have faced extreme difficulties.

Apple doesn't do innovations anymore. Every year, it's just the same products but faster. Samsung has become what Steve Jobs' vision of what Apple is supposed to become.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2018Really powerful, so powerful that it looses to the 1 year old iPhone 8.Who cares about a synthetic benchmark made on two separate operating systems? They are not directly comparable

Except SD2xx, quad-core 4xx, old 6xx, pre-SD820 and MT SoCs, every phone has more than enough performance to do daily tasks without any problem. The Note 9 has more than enough performance for anything, so does the iPhone 8. So stop looking at meaningless numbers and look at IRL performance. And no, that does not mean those stupid "speedtests" where you go all nuts for half a split-second difference

Both have serious performance and that should be it
