Pixel 2 camera is not best. So that half of your claim is baseless. And in the other half it uses strong software prowess on top of a strong sensor which only confirms to my point. Again making the other half of your comment also illogical and baseless.
A stronger specced camera that is at least as equally calibrated will produce better results. It's as simple as it can get. If it has a larger sensor, better lens, equivalent pixel size, and similar or better resolution while being just as well or better optimized then it will perform better in most scenarios.
I don't know how such simple Straughn forward logic is that hard to grasp????
And clearly it doesn't say this. But it's quite easy to figure out based on ever single year this far from then and most every other company out there.
I don't know why you are so upset by simple facts that you have to sit there in Deborah to defend it and get upset to nit pick at comments and reply illogically.

JOHN, 13 Aug 2018thats weird cause this is the first time i see them popping up more oftenhuawei was founded by deputy director of people's liberation army and they get help from the chinese government and so if they want a new market they get help from their government and the issue is dealt as a foreign relations thing with other country's telecom department. now this is what i heard from my seniors when i did internship at my country telecom regulatory authority. don't know about their phones but all their other telecom businesses have a little bit politics in them.

Even when you do ... morePic quality is not best. It's very over processed despite the mega pixel and sensor size advantage and Samsung also still wins at low light.
Samsung also has better dynamic range, exposure, and ois. As do others.
And the Nokia 808 still performs better.

More useful features for 100 extra on flagships is welcome.
Regarding the use of camera in smartphones, camera must be all 3 which is impossible.
Wide for tight location.
Tele for a bit distant subject and well details.
Regular for most occasions.
If all 3 arrive with bigger sensor than 1/3", brighter than f/1.7, bigger than 1.2µm, acceptable image size 10MP+ and most importantly Software optimization sits in a phone, there is no need to carry any other camera except for [Semi]professional purposes.

And did you read the article? It said NOTHING about the size of the sensors, so don't act as if Samsung will not upgrade their main lense.
And what's wrong with triple lense cameras? Obviously this is where camera techs are going foward if manufacturers want to provide high quality and versatile cameras on our thin smartphones. By the looks of it, the S10+ is going to have the most complete camera setup for the vast majority of people -high quality main lense that can take high quality night and day photos, telephotos lense for better zoom and potraits modes, and wide angle lense for capturing more image on a single shot.
To me, that's the most complete and perfect camera setup on a smartphone ever.
