Just cause Huawei did it first doesn't mean every other phone manufacturer which plans to have a triple camera is copying it. In that case every smartphone maker copied apple in making a smart smartphone.

We're being cheated for a long time already
Just back when we thought 1/2" is the limit for camera sensor size on smartphones, we got the P20 Pro with not only a 1/1.7" primary sensor, but even a secondary 1/2.3" monochrome sensor and a tertiary 1/2.9" telephoto sensor. We also have the XZ2 Premium with dual 1/2.3" sensors.
Flagships should get 1/1.7" sensor as bare minimum size for their primary cameras, then 1/2.3" for mid rangers like the XA1 and XA2 series, then 1/2.9" for budget phones like my Redmi 5 Plus.

I don't believe in that "regular" camera and it doesn't make sense.
When you have a wide angle and a tele lens, why would you need a "regular" camera with a not-so-wide lens but not also as-zoomed-in as the tele?
When you have the best of both worlds, why do you need the 3rd?
Unless if the setup will be something like (24mm, 50mm and 135mm) "35mm equivalent...

Why!!??
That's just more money wasted on extra cameras rather than one actually better quality one.
I don't want extra zoom lens and wide angle.
I want an upgraded flagship sensor that actually improves image quality.
Where is the 18-24mp set up on 1/1.7 inch sensor they were working on like the years ago. And the p20 pros sensor somehow has 1.4um pixels in 1/1.7 inch sensor though I think that might be too crammed.
So that 18-24mp could be at least that if not have up maybe 2um.
Seriously. Stop wasting our time with multiple weak sensors.
Or go all out with that half inch 48mp. Or keep it to 40mp so it's 1.4um vs 0.8. Or large scale a 24mp that has very large pixels.
And maybe throw in a Tele lens or wide angle to make people happy.
This is supposed to be a special 10 year anniversary device and we know it will be expensive as hell. And Samsung has basically the best tech.
