It is annoying to go to the bb app market and be told that it is not available in 'your country.' I've used BB/BIS in Ghana for years starting from MTN/Areeba and now Vodafone. I'm a heavy user but I don't have the benefit of the app market. When are we in Africa and some other 'impoverished' countries getting access to the app store of RIM?

Free BB apps will not matter to me if I don't have access to the store. And is RIM saying the apology is for only the'important' markets? We were all affected by the 3-day outtage. RIM, sit up, otherwise I will quit. Please!

BB are not offering any free apps in india .. one of bb's largest markets... there used to be more than 2 million bb users in india ... i doubt anyone will stik aroun if they are treated like second rated customers ...

For the most part the rest of the world won't really care. This is getting really sad for DinoBerry.

What most people fail to understand is the fact that as a gesture it is great on RIM's part to do something like this. Even after their Co-CEO apologized personally for the failure in service for a few days, they still come out with this goodie bag!

At least they are willing to accept their failure without pointing any fingers at others and have in the process become more human than ever before.
