Mate 10 user, 16 Aug 2018Looks like a useless gimmick. I can see no use for it. Reminiscent of 3D TVsLike years ago people called massive (read 3,5") touch screen a useless gimmick. We even lost Nokia to the same "oh this is useless feature, who would want that" mindset. If people, who make tech, listened people like you, we would not have touchscreens today!
lets see how JERRYRIGEVERYTHING will test this one on the so called BEND TEST...... im curious

And that's how Samsung goes to bankrupt.

Why is it that every time something new shows up on this side, everyone just rushes out, spewing salt all over the place? Why can you guys never say something nice?
My opinion: This is awesome, and this is how innovation pushes forward. It's how it's always been, small steps gets us us forward. If no one did stuff like this we would never have progressed.
Kdawg, 16 Aug 2018ZTE Axon M, already launched, more practical, foldable phone. The ZTE has bad design, terrible implementation, grossly overpriced, not enough oomph. Basically a monumental disaster.
In terms of design, I could attribute the quality to the guy who rendered these fake Samsung bendable phone ones.
Kdawg, 16 Aug 2018ZTE Axon M, already launched, more practical, foldable phone. That is not a foldable screen. To add to insult, that was a fugly attempt to release a format no one ever asked for. The only way they could have made that "phone" worse was if they'd put notches on the displays.
The last Oracle, 16 Aug 2018I am willing to wager a $100, that the renders are twrribly off. Samsung's Flagships have supe... moreThey're most likely late stage concepts. Probably not far off what it will look like.
If the headphone jack is gone this phone had better be 5 mm thin or it's a fail. The fingerprint sensor is probably a good indicator it's a fairly old render. Basically based off the Note 9 design. Plastic blocks less light than glass so an in-display scanner is more likely to happen first on this rather than the Galaxy S10, looking at how poorly the current ones out there work on glass.
SixTymes, 16 Aug 2018all the old people and younger people who are stuck on the current idea of flat will all respo... moreYeah, slow thinkers, right.
I just say they do it because they can, not because it's useful.
They keep imposing horrible fragile screens with curved edges that will annoy you with glares daily under bright lamps or sun...
Looks like a useless gimmick. I can see no use for it. Reminiscent of 3D TVs
I am willing to wager a $100, that the renders are twrribly off. Samsung's Flagships have superb design language. These renders seem like they have been made by a noob.
Also, if Samsung can control the market with their Bendable OLED and Scratch and Bend Resistant Glass, they can dominate almost every other player around.
Though I wish Samsung were able to put that 1/2" 48MP Sony Sensor into some smartphone, along with 2 other sensors. It would be an insane device.
The Note 9 is already better than the S9 and the Note 8, even in the camera department. Except the P20 Pro, it seems yo beat almost everything else out there. Hopefully comparisons with all other phones will be out soon.

I like this folding concept, it won't fit in my pocket but I can put two under my bra to make my chest look bigger :)
Two problems though, I don't wear a bra, and I'm a man :(
Non sense.
Can you twist it?
It's a good idea, how about an all screen flip phone using this technology to fold. Bring them back then i don't have to worry about a screen protector :D :D
Anyone else noticed that it does'nt have an headphone jack?
A screen that wide is useless for pretty much anything. In fact i fail to find any benefit whatsoever of having such a screen...
ZERO ergonomics
Galaxy Note 9, 16 Aug 2018Great phone that I can't afford....Good luck with Samsung for making innovation after innovati... more I try hard to find any Samsung innovation the last 4 years.
