To be fair, Apple never said anything nor leaked something that sugges... moreI didn't mean Apple released any rumours, they just allowed others to release high spec rumours without managing expectations. Google have not released any directly either, but as the Nexus spec rumours are not that exciting maybe they will announce something better.
I wouldn't be surprised it there are two versions of the Nexus a 1.2ghz version for 2nd tier countries and a 1.5ghz+ for primary countries

To be fair, Apple never said anything nor leaked something that suggest that their new iPhone would have a bigger screen and other high end features. Those were rumored stuff that turned out to be false.
Apple is pretty secretive when it comes to its hardware and those who hyped the iPhone 5 to feature a bigger screen were the blogs and not Apple.

Maybe they are doing the opposite of Apple, letting low spec rumours out and then releasing something better. Which is a lot more beneficial to the share price than talking big and delivering little.

To be honest if ANYTHING beats the SGS2 by the end of this year id be seriously suprised. The only thing i think could beat it is the SGS3 when it comes next year along with a possible re-invented iPhone5 with an A6 chipset. See what happens. Roll on tomorrow at 0900 UK time when i walk back in the office and bring up the specs on this beast.

Why the lower spec processor? I mean isn't the galaxy note better equipped...ie.what us better about this phone vs the other samsung offerings? Maybe someone is kind enough to enlighten me?

Give it a chance people, my nexus s competes very closely with my girlfriends gs2. The 5mp cam is sposed to have an advanced technology. dual core 1.2ghz proc on a newer, hopefully better vanilla Android os has superspeed potential. the screen delivers. let's see more. I already know it's faster than the sgs2.

It looks big (not complaining, just saying). Design looks good though, from side that is.
Knowing Google, I think using 5mp camera would be their choice.
Now I am aware of Android's other side and not an Android user but ICS looks very good. To make Android really fast and resource friendly they need to rewrite everything without the said layering it has. Anyway it makes users happy so this is all that maters.

Nexus phones is all about the Android software, not about hardware, and Galaxy Nexus is all about Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung will probably soon release their own version of Nexus with a lot better hardware.
I think that anything above 4.5 inches is a tablet, not a phone!

It SHOULD AT LEAST have 1.5dual + 8MP camera because of the high price range ...it will be outrageous for what it can do ,that's why we all want those specs ! :)
