Waw, VERY VERY nice news... RIM let us in total darkness and doubt, for too long, on as well future choice for security as compatibility with OS6, OS7, therefore this is VERY comforting news, up to Antwerp, Belgium. Now it is outspoken, and in which absolutely comforting way. Delighted!
Please RIM, go your own way as before, keep on the quality, and on some limits of pricing, if possible.

I got really worried when I heard the word BBX.
Calling your OS after a very old programming language.
BBX is the original name for the Business Basic interpreter developed by BASIS International in 1985

does this mean we should wait for the bbx phones rather than buy their recent releases? Bold9900 and the Torches?

What a good news but how about video calling and skype supporting as well.
I hope it will be coming soon.

RIM's got to really speed up. At the rate that they are going, there's only one way and that's down.

it was a desperate move by Bb to regain lost market share. it should also bring sw update for bold 3,4 and other recently launched handsets else they all will find themselves cheated.

Nice to find RIM will ditch Windows 3.1 on their smartphones. Now I may consider their products.
