Anonymous, 18 Oct 2011Of course, we can't prove it. It is quite obvious that Samsung fans are the most vocal and agg... moreReally? No it has nothing to do with the fact that others say stupid and untrue things and diss Samsung first or state other things to be better then they are. no not at all. Samsung fans just pop out of the blue like isheep and start insulting everything. And it's not like some of the earliest comments from the first couple Droid razr threads were bashing the GS2. Nope. Nothing like that. Just crazy Samsung fans running around causing chaos in this world.
AnonD-19046, 20 Oct 2011hello buddy.... I think you have no idea about the phone specs.. Look at Moto Razr Looks like ... moreObviously you do not know what you are saying. Yes the admittedly the Razr looks a bit better and is slimmer. That does not make it better. The S2 is still better in screen, camera, HD, video, and hardware. And Google did not choose Motorola...It chose Samsung. Motorol used Android because Android is amazing not the other way around.
If we think again, Motorola rock the world make history with Motorola Droid (6 November 2009). Now Motorolq Droid Razr (release planning 10 or 11 November 2011) will rock again the world and make history like the original Motorola V3 Razr.
4.3 inches is a big phone, any chance of a Droid Razr mini ? the 3.7 inches on my Defy is a good mix of functionality and form, combine that with the new RAZR and i would be impressed with something that fits in any pocket.. not just cargo pants ! :)
angry jeffrey, 20 Oct 2011I have got a Samsung galaxy s2 but this phone is just beautiful. Amazing piece of hardware an... moreSame here buddy.. I also have SGS2 but still want to buy this one as soon as it hits shelves :)
Have been a die hard fan of Motorola from the day i got my fist mobile(around 12years now) and have always trusted them. They know how to make a phone that could be used wirelessly, unlike some companies that just made a a pod that could be used to talk(as and when they want). GOMOTO
Ahahahaha. Now that it's even thinner than the S2, it will heat even more. LOL.
I have got a Samsung galaxy s2 but this phone is just beautiful. Amazing piece of hardware and design. Im so tempted...always loved Motorola design.
AnonD-16334, 19 Oct 2011i prefer S2 OVer this razr..s2 still looks better..but its specs are quite impressivehello buddy.... I think you have no idea about the phone specs.. Look at Moto Razr Looks like preety perfect n Impossibly thin n stylish n sexy mobile out there n it have much better n latest OS gingerbread 2.3.5 latest high quality GPU "PowerVR SGX540 GPU" n Chip set "TI OMAP 4430 chipset" and a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display for incredibly vivid images. Uzman, 19 Oct 2011will never buy a Moto phone since they were always a disappointment after locking their bootlo... morewhy is it such a big deal if it has bootloader locked. Changing your phone to a custom rom voids its warranty. (Though this phone being virtually indestructible for the average consumer that wouldnt be such a big problem) and disable further oficial updates from being made to that phone.
I dont think many people actually care about the custom roms or even know such a thing exists.
The phone will receive ISC shortly after its released so are you sure locked bootloader is such a big problem? I mean ICS vs custom gingerbread... hmm hard choice.
I am more worried about the phone's performance. Its stated that it uses the same gpu as on the original galaxy S only overclocked. IS that enough to play full 1080p videos in browser? IS it more capable than the tegra platform? All those matter with the webtop aplication.
It being virtually undestructible and the webtop application is the only thing that sets this phone asside from competition and makes it worth buying.
P.S. besides the first razor series motorola made superbe phones. Awesome survivability , decent specs, good firmwares( no updates though) . They learned from theyre mistakes aparently and with the help of google they will bring the best to the mobile industry.
will never buy a Moto phone since they were always a disappointment after locking their bootloader. Even if they change their strategy, its too late
AnonD-1846, 19 Oct 2011First HD Videocall First Thinnest Phone 7.1mm Firsr 1Gb DDR Ram x2Not first one i think so, upcoming Samsung Nexus is also giving Videocall quality of 720p
i prefer S2 OVer this razr..s2 still looks better..but its specs are quite impressive
As expected, Samsung fanboys openly admitting they will downvote this phone on the Droid Razr page. Seriously demented.
Wow nice one. My next phone . Now I need to replace my milestone..

Motorola RAZR with Android
Gingerbread launching in Canada
(via Rogers), Europe and Asia next
month By Florin on 18 Oct 11 Announced as a Verizon exclusive in the US, the brand new Motorola Droid RAZR will also be released in other markets, although without the Droid branding – which is understandable, since this belongs to Verizon. In Canada, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa, the new handset will be simply called Motorola RAZR. And, like in the US, it will be launched starting November. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be able to buy it next month (for example, Rogers said it’s launching the handset in Canada “in time for the holidays”, which could also mean in December). Historically, Moto’s RAZR phones have been fashionable, thin clamshells that were very popular back in their days (more than 130 million units sold worldwide). The new Android-based Motorola RAZR is not a clamshell, but it is both fashionable and thin – only 7.1mm. It runs Android 2.3.5, and features a 4.3 inch qHD “Super AMOLED Advanced” display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory (about 11GB user available), and a 1780 mAh battery. The new RAZR is quite a tough handset, as it uses Gorilla Glass, Kevlar fiber, and splash-guard coating.
