The GPU is around 60% better than the current kirin 659, but its still a far, far far cry from the adreno 616 inside the s710.
The Mediatek helio is even faster lol

H-1, 18 Aug 2018Although the numbering is really confusing, I'm guessing the Kirin 710 should be put against S... moreu r rite though. at the time nova 3i launch, the price price range is between sd636 and sd 660 devices, except for xiaomi's line up.
but when kirin 980 launch, i believe kirin 970 will be upper midrange to compete with sd710/sd670, kirin 710 will compete with sd636/630, and the yesteryear kirin 659,eventhough its old, it doesnt have problem to compete with sd 400 series. so now, huawei has almost all range soc to compete next year. they had done that this year with kirin 960, but most of them only launch in china though.

Shadocx, 17 Aug 2018It barely reaches the Snapdragon 660 or 710's score.Although the numbering is really confusing, I'm guessing the Kirin 710 should be put against SD 636 as huawei doesn't have upper and lower midrange chips.
When the device is released and benchmarked, I'm guessing the kirin will be somewhere between 670 and 636

I am still waiting for some GPU benchmarks. The Mali 52 MP4 GPU is unheard of and to my knowledge no mainstream chipset manufacturer is using those cores in their processors.
